Greta Valley Serene Horse and Scenic Trees

With these shots, especially the ones of the horse, I feel I could have done better with the shot. Sometimes, the shots 📷 look good at the moment, but looking back at these ones, I am a bit far from content.

But it is also not entirely bad 🤷🏽‍♂️. That's self-critics right there 😃

So, I photographed these back in January 2025, I was traveling back to Christchurch and stopped quickly at Greta Valley. I find the trees standing tall and firm on the cliff edges and the lone horse in the paddle. Beautiful scenery, I thought, was worth photographing.

Oh I so know… sometimes you think you got great photos but at home you see you could have done better. Or the angle is off or too far away… or… all photographers think like that. !LOL
You did great. I like the first one of the horse it looks so muscular.
The tree looks like it is just holding on to the side. It must have been eroding more lately as it is tall already.

In this case my subject is too far, I should have brought it closer and it would have been and great shot for me. Thank you, am glad you like that photo.

I think your shots are good, especially the first picture. A calming view, the presence of the horse in the middle of the landscape gives a magical impression. The composition is also calm and natural.
