Golden Morning Light Over Milburn’s Circle Hill 🇳🇿

For my second winter in a row, I have been deployed for work in Dunedin. I found Dunedin to be very cold in winter with snowfalls.

So, on the 17th of June 2025, I had a job to do on Circle Hill, Milburn, which is about 50km from Dunedin.

I recall the drive being a very cold morning with dense fog. I left my motel early, around 6am which was still dark in winter.

Fortunately I didn’t have much hassle driving up to site except for taking the wrong track in the last 200m but, I reversed and took the right track. One the about driving up mountain or hill tracks is, no space to make a U-turn most of the time so reversing tends to be the only option at times.

Now, as for the views, it was certainly worth being up there at -6⁰C freezing for work. There was still fog in the surrounding, and with the sun showing up through that morning fog from Circle Hill presented me with views to really fall in love with.
These are moments that are priceless and makes me enjoy my job.
