Don Street, Invercargill was very good to me as I found lots of murals there.

This one is located precisely on 12 Don Street, Invercargill, and it is one of my favorites.

It is a very beautiful and great artistic work by Margaritavovna.

Beautiful panter painting, not an easy wall, she said on her Instagram, but she was very delighted to paint such an old building.

It is a difficult wall for the artist and even to photograph as well.

Hahaha I expect it to be interesting when you go out driving. I hope the roads aren't too Icy. Be careful.

It was a very interesting drive. We drove away with sun and blue skies… icy road and 10 minutes later we were in such a thick fog we couldn’t see anything until we reached the city. It took us 1,5 hours…
We got all the paint and other wallpaper we needed and some trims. Plus of course groceries as we were there.
Safely back… got really busy the last few days. (Not even with renovating hahaha) But I have some more time now again to catch up. Today I finish the bedroom. Put up architraves and paint them.

Wow a long drive… hope all is going well there.

I was expecting it is be exciting, driving through thick fog is isn't easy especially when visibility is very bad. Am glad you guys navigated the way successfully and got all you need while you were out there.

Yes it's been busy with me too, makes me skip some days of posting and engaging on Hive but all is good with me thanks.

You know what… the glue we got for putting the architraves up and the skirting board didn't work for us. So I couldn’t finish the room today. The tube of glue was mostly air… so I only did the trim around the door and the tube was empty. I didn’t even make it to put up the rest.
So we have to go back to the city in the next days. One thing if you forget something or need something we have to drive far to get it. Nothing will be delivered to the cabin. More snow this evening and throughout tomorrow so we have to plan well to go out again. Such a shame… products are not always what they seem to be.

Good to hear all is well. The important thing. Sometimes, somedays other things are more important Joe. I know all about it. Haha

That sucks 😕 when you buy something expecting to serve you and it's content is close to nothing.
Lol yeah I can imagine living in remote places the luxury of ordering things online and have it delivered to doorsteps aren't there.

Yes, it was crazy when we realised we didn’t have glue in the tube.
I don’t mind that deliveries won't reach us up here, but at some days… I wish like now. It takes us almost all day to have a round trip to the city hahaha 🤣

You think so… I will maybe continue working on the video this afternoon.

First we have to strip further back the layers and layers of wall paper in the living room. Never ever seen a wall with this many layers. Lots of paint and plaster too.
If that room was not stinking of smoke and fire, I would not have stripped back the wallpaper and just painted it. But it had to be stripped back to the start to get rid of what other people messed up.

(We didn’t use the living room so far and had our sofa etc. set up in the dining room next to the kitchen. Luckily… as we didn't want to sit in that smell. We don't smoke)
It is a lot of work this room… spend yesterday all day already on it pulling down the wallpapers. My fingers are hurt and cut 🤕 I guess 2 more days of this.

No I didn’t, sorry… will check it out right now 😁
I need more hours in a day hahaha 🤣

Oh I see why you are renovating the living room. Yeah moving into a room with cigarettes smoking still being perceived can be disturbing for the likes of us that don't smoke. It probably will be okay for someone that smokes 🚬.

Hopefully you get it over and done with soon and careful so you don't hurt yourself further.

Tell me about the hours, I need it too but less working hours 😩

Yes, it is horrible that room. It already smells better ow the wallpaper is gone. We will take up the laminate too once the wallpaper and painting is done. It has a fabric underlayer that smells too.
Underneath, there is a beautiful wooden floor. Once all done I paint the wooden floors. So all will be like new 😁
