A night at Garston Lodge to break the long drive

avatar

After the stop at Mirror Lakes, leas than 20km drive further, we stopped where my friend needed a power nap.

Yeah, she was tired of the long drive!

After the nap, we continued to Te Anau, where I took over the drive to Garston, where we had booked accommodation to spend the night.

I like the Garston accommodation, quite better than what we had in Te Anau. I travel a lot for work and sleep in different motels and I have been happy with all the accommodations throughout the past year but the one in Ta Anau lacked basics, not even microwave which left me very disappointed.

I took down the name of the motel just in case I am deployed to go work in Te Anau and get booked in that motel, am going to decline sleeping there that's how much unsatisfied I was and my friend was distance too.

The Te Anau accommodation was the only disappointment of our trip other than that we had a great time.

Judging from the neat and clean room, resting there must be very relaxing.

It was relaxing, a much needed relaxation for the long drive the following day.
