Binangkal is one of my favorite snacks, and at the same time, it has become one of my small sources of income. This small, round, and golden brown balls coated with sesame seeds are simple yet delicious. Every time I prepare and sell binangkal, I feel proud because this humble snack helps me earn extra money for my daily needs. Even though the profit is not that big, it truly makes a difference in my life and gives me a sense of fulfillment knowing that I’m working hard in an honest way 👌

Every morning, I wake up early to prepare the dough. I mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and a bit of oil, shaping them into small balls and coating them with sesame seeds before frying them until they turn crispy and brown. The aroma of freshly fried binangkal fills the air, attracting neighbors and passersby. Sometimes, I even receive advance orders because people really enjoy its crunchy outside and soft inside. It makes me happy to see my customers satisfied and coming back for more. Yaayy 😙

Selling binangkal is not just about earning money it’s also about patience, effort, and consistency. Through this simple business, I’ve learned how to manage my time, budget my ingredients, and interact with different kinds of people.

This small livelihood helps me with my daily expenses from buying rice and groceries to supporting small needs at home. It may seem simple, but it’s a big help for me and my family. I’m thankful that through this, I can earn a decent income while sharing a delicious Filipino snack that many people love.

Ingredients:
1klo flour
2 pack of small powdered milk
2 eggs
½ brown sugar
Sesame seeds
1 calumet/ baking powder
a pinch of salt
1cup water

Mix it together, make it balls the n deep fried until golden brown
