One afternoon i visited a friend's house. As soon as i walked in something caught my eye right away. It was not the big TV or the fancy couch. It was the many indoor plants spread around the house..

They were so healthy and pretty. They made the whole house feel alive and fresh. It was like stepping into a secret garden but inside the house.

In the living room there was a tall plant. It had big, shiny green leaves. I don't know its exact name, but each leaf had a special shape almost like a painting..

This tall plant was in a glossy ceramic pot. The pot made the green color of the leaves stand out even more. Small stones were on the soil under the plant. These stones helped keep the soil wet and looked nice. You could tell someone took good care of it because there were no yellow or dry leaves.

On one side near the window there was a row of smaller plants. One of them had leaves that were mixed green and white like they were covered in frost. Each leaf was unique.

These smaller plants were in different kinds of pots some made of clay others of wood. The light from the window made the leaves sparkle. This created pretty shadows and light on the wall. There was also a hanging plant with long vines that fell down like a curtain. It made the space feel soft and natural..

Even in the kitchen which was a small space there were plants. They had small herb plants in pots by the window—maybe basil mint and rosemary. Their smell made the kitchen smell fresh. I thought about how nice it would be to use them for cooking.
