Mapawa Nature Park in Cagayan de Oro is Your New Favorite Escape – Crystal Clean Water, Awesome Swimming Spots, Waterfalls and Pure Nature Magic

Wanna share our quick trip to Mapawa Nature Park here in Cagayan de Oro the water here is so beautiful im not kidding when i say it’s one of the nicest spots in Northern Mindanao!

First off as soon as we got there we could feel that super fresh air it’s like it give you an instant energy boost even if we were already a bit tired from the drive..

The entrance fee is cheap too and every single peso we paid was totaly worth it. The staff there are really friendly and helpful they even gave us a quick run through of the rules and all the stuff you can do in the park..

The path leading to the swimming areas is a little tricky sometimes there are quiet parts full of trees and plants but it’s not scary at all.. You might just get a bit worn out if you are not used to walking for a while.

But as you go along will see these huge rocks that look like they have been there forever like giant statues. And the closer you get the more you can hear the water flowing sounds like music to your ears!

When we reached the first pool we saw we were totally stunned. The water is this amazing emerald green color so clean you can even see the rocks underneath. It’s so pretty feels like you are in a movie!! We had a blast swimming there the water’s cold but not too cold that it freezes you solid. There are big rocks where you can sit and rest too perfect when you are done splashing around..

There’s another spot a bit higher up you have to climb a little but people said it’s even better up there. So we gave it a go and yep the pool’s bigger and there’s a small waterfall flowing over the rocks. It’s so relaxing up there you can stand under the water and feel the pressure on your body like getting a free massage!..

Picnicking there is great too 😊 There are spots where you can set up your things just remember to bring your own water and food because there are not too many stores inside. And of course don’t forget to clean up after yourselves we need to take care of places this nice so the next people can enjoy them too.

There’s loads more you can do at Mapawa hiking trails horseback riding and you can even camp if you wanna stay longer. But for us swimming in those natural pools was the best part by far.

So if you’re looking for a place to unwind and get away from all the daily stress Mapawa Nature Park is definitely the place to go. Just make sure you bring extra clothes sunblock and don’t leave without your camera you will wanna take tons of pics of how gorgeous nature is here!!
