Greetings to all, 👋 @worldmappin have a great day! 😍

My visit to Ilocos, Vigan, and Baluarte was truly an experience filled with adventure, culture, and history. Each place had its own charm, and together they created a journey that I will always treasure.

Starting with Ilocos, the beauty of the landscapes and the richness of its history immediately captured my heart. From the vast fields and rolling hills to the stunning coastlines, the province offered scenery that was both refreshing and inspiring. One of the highlights was seeing the Bangui Windmills, standing tall against the blue horizon. These giant turbines were not only impressive to look at but also served as a symbol of clean energy and progress. Another unforgettable stop was the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, where nature’s artistry was on full display. Its striking white limestone rocks, shaped by the sea and wind, made the place feel magical. Visiting the Paoay Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was also a meaningful experience. Its strong design and historic background reflected the deep cultural roots of the region.

From there, we made our way to Baluarte Zoo, one of the most popular attractions in Ilocos Sur. Owned by Chavit Singson, Baluarte offered more than just a typical zoo experience. It was a place where we could walk freely and encounter a wide variety of animals, from colorful birds to deer, camels, and even tigers. What made it even more enjoyable was the interactive shows, which were both entertaining and educational. Baluarte was a perfect spot to relax, learn, and appreciate the beauty of wildlife.

Our journey would not have been complete without a visit to Vigan City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most well-preserved Spanish colonial towns in Asia. Walking along Calle Crisologo felt like traveling back in time. The cobblestone streets, ancestral houses, and horse-drawn kalesas created an atmosphere that was both nostalgic and charming. The city also showcased the artistry of its people through traditional weaving and pottery-making demonstrations, which gave us a glimpse into the creativity and skills of the locals.

Of course, food played a big role in making the trip unforgettable. Vigan’s famous longganisa, empanadas, and other Ilocano delicacies delighted our taste buds and added warmth to the experience. Sharing these meals with friends and family made everything even more special.

Overall, my journey to Ilocos, Vigan, and Baluarte was more than just sightseeing—it was a meaningful adventure that brought together nature, history, and culture. Each destination told its own story, yet all of them reflected the beauty and richness of the Philippines. It was truly an unforgettable trip that left me inspired and grateful.

Thank you and happy reading 😉
