Claveria Heights, Misamis Oriental – Where Winding Roads Lead to Rolling Hills and a Peaceful Piece of Heaven

Alright so here’s how it went down me and a bunch of my friends decided we had to get out of the city for a bit you know how it is? Work’s been crazy traffic’s worse than ever and we were all just running on empty. Someone mentioned this spot up in Claveria, Misamis Oriental MARS Adventure Park they call it and we were like “yeah, let’s just do it”..

We left super early on a Saturday morning, coffee in hand and playlists blaring. The drive up was wild in the best way possible winding roads that twist and turn through all these green hills. Every time we rounded a bend there was another view that made us pulled over to take pictures. You can smell the earth and the crops growing all around and the air gets cooler the higher you go felt like we were leaving all the heat and hassle behind us.

When we finally rolled into the place we just stopped dead in our tracks. There’s this massive sign spelling out MARS with all kinds of colorful flowers and trimmed grass looks like someone spent forever getting it just right. We immediately started posing for photos like a bunch of tourists but honestly? Can’t blame us. The backdrop is insane mountains stretching out as far as you can see with little patches of clouds hanging low over the peaks some days..

We found a spot to sit near their little restaurant area ordered some grilled chicken and rice (plus more coffee obviously) and just stared out at the view. The food was simple but good you can tell it’s made with care. We did not even rush eating why would we when we had all this beauty right in front of us?

I’m telling you there’s something about being up high like that that just clears your head. No notifications pinging no horns honking, nothing but the sound of the wind rustling through the trees and birds chirping away. One of my mates said it felt like hitting a reset button on life and he was so right. We just sat there for ages just being quiet and soaking it all in.

They have got these cool garden designs too saw a huge pineapple shape made out of plants and another section with words spelled out in white and red flowers. You can tell the people who take care of the grounds really put their heart into it. We ended up walking around for ages just exploring every little corner and finding new spots to take in the scenery.

By the time we headed back down we were all way more relaxed than we had been in months. Yeah the drive home was long but we did not even mind we were still talking about how we need to go back soon maybe even bring the whole family next time. If you are feeling burnt out and need somewhere to just breathe this is your spot no question.
