Something was off about the couple. The wife only smiles and returns the kisses, but she never says her opinion about what was discussed on the table.
She was terrified to speak against her husband's opinion. He could beat her if she did.

An all-to-common occurrence in society today. The voiceless is terrified into submission. The image you chose to represent your story is sad, but powerful. Exposure, condemnation, accountability, then severe punishment is the only solution for the perpetrators.
