I want to share something with you all, and please do well to read through and drop your opinions on this.
Julian made a friend Rose, whom she had come to love and trust.
Their friendship was going well. They understood and supported each other at every phase of life.
Until one day, when Julian went to visit her friend and she met the Uncle.
The uncle picked interest in Julian, and she was open-minded because she believed that her friend's uncle couldn't hurt her, at least for the sake of Rose in the picture, things would go well.
Rose noticed the two but didn't know something was going on between the two.
When Rose found out, she advised her friend Julian to be careful with the uncle.
Though he is not a dangerous man but there are some certain things she wouldn't determine because the relationship she has with the uncle is different from the one that is building up between the two of them (Her uncle and Julian)
Julian was so sure that the uncle wouldn't try anything silly for the sake of Rose as her friend.
One day, Julian visited Rose at home to give her a book.
She met the uncle, who informed her that Rose went out to get something, that she could wait for her.
Then, in the short wait period, the uncle nearly raped Julian.
Julian escaped and never contacted, nor spoke to her friend Rose again.
In her defence, she is mad at Rose for having such an uncle, and avoiding her is the same as avoiding the uncle.
On the other hand, Rose never knew what happened. She just found out that her friend distanced herself and totally avoided her.
Someone advised Julian to talk to Rose, at least let her know even if she doesn't want to continue the friendship.
Which she didn't agree to, she somehow believed that Rose knew about her uncle's behaviour and hid it from her.
That she purposely went out the day she visited her after they made the arrangements.
And if she didn't visit her that day, nothing could have happened.
Do you think Julian did the right thing?
Do you think she overrated?
What's your take?

Well i think Julian would have told her friend about it and neither is she over reacting
Okay
Thank you very much dear for your input.

I feel it is better to sort things out and talk about them. If she were wise enough, then she would confront her friend. Even if Rose was not at fault, Julian must have said something to her. Because after blaming, she would know the truth. Also, it could be that Rose would do something for Julian if she knew about it later. But this situation stayed as if nothing happened; she only distanced herself. In those types of scenarios, steps must be taken against the harasser.
Exactly.
She shouldn't focus her energy on just her friend but the uncle who did wrong.
Thank you very much dear for this.
I can't tell if she overreacted cause she has the right to. Rose telling Julian to be wary of her own uncle has some undertone to it. She may or may not have known that her uncle was that way. But she should have spoken to her friend, though. She deserved that much closure.
🤔I know right
Thank you very much dear for your input
At least she should have let her friend know about it......
True.
Thank you very much for this.
