"It's like people don't check their mail lately" this is a lamentation from a friend of mine.
This made me smile because I also thought about this, because out of the numerous applications I filled and sent through mail only just two were replied.
So, I also felt that maybe they don't even check their mail.
At least a response could have been better.
I don't know about other parts of the country but in my country Nigeria, this is what I noticed.

You will start thinking that maybe just maybe your resume wasn't enough, you must have made a mistake somewhere or it wasn't even sent and received.

Well, in doubt you send a mail to yourself and you quickly receive it.
So, there is nothing wrong, it's just the system that is wrong.

This took me back to when I worked with a company and also when I worked as a front desk officer in a hotel.

I received numerous application letter every day but all went to the trash.
Only people that didn't even apply that were employed and of course they left when the work wasn't what they expected or maybe they got the job easily, so they didn't regard it.

I used this to place in sending a mail, those mails are just pilled up somewhere or might be marked as spam.

So, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, it's just the system.
But don't give up because one day the story will change and something good will happen with your consistency and diligence.

I am just writing this to encourage someone out there who must have felt the same way I and my friend did.
