Rant o clock ⏰

Hello everyone

Welcome to my blog.

I am here to rent and talk about something.

So, I entered a weird bus from Abia State to Ebonyi state of recent and what happened in the bus was just not cool but I never said anything inside the bus.

I just quietly observed the situation.

There was the group of people who booked together, they were ten in number which included, two children, two teenagers, five women and a man.
They booked only eight seats, the two children paired a seat with someone.

In a row where a matured woman sat with one of those group of people that paired with someone, gently told them on time, that they shouldn't step on her.

Which triggered the group of people to react and started shouting at the woman for saying that.

They started with this annoying entitlement of the woman adjusting for the child to seat down, since she is a mother too.

I found their statement, and entitlement annoying because that doesn't make sense.

You don't force someone to be nice to you in their own discomfort.

This woman paid for a seat to be comfortable and she has her reason, you didn't include her in your plans when she booked the seat.

And I don't see why they can't just plead and reason with her to have mercy on them, so they can make a space for the child to seat.

They were just so arrogant and proud, forcing someone to be human when they are not.

They know they can't afford the comfortability of the child, so why not gently ask for help instead of being rude and proud.

Well, I actually loved the woman's response and action because she never backed up from what she stood for.

"I can't displease myself to please you rude people" was the energy she gave throughout.

While they saw it as wicked and heartless.

Was your take on something like this?

Thank you very much for visiting my blog 🥰

Do enjoy the rest of your day.

Mmm, entitlement is a terrible issue in today's society... If you ask me, yes, I side with the mature woman who sat by herself. She booked a seat, arrived to take it, and she would like to enjoy her trip. Those who were ill-prepared should not ruin it for her...

It reminds me of our public transit here! Throughout my pregnancy, no one ever stood up and offered me the courtesy seating. At 9 months pregnant, I was still standing as opposed to sitting on the bus! 😩

Indeed, entitlement is a terrible issue.

Oh no
That's not nice.
If it's here, they could have at least offered you to sit

Welcome to nija where most people see boundaries as being wicked.
That entitlement mentality is what contribute to the unnecessary hatred most people have today.
So you came around Abia state? Where exactly?

There's a huge difference between asking for help respectfully and demanding it rudely. When you approach someone with kindness and consideration, many people will go out of their way to help, even if it's inconvenient. But rudeness? That guarantees a "no." People aren't obligated to help someone who treats them poorly. I think the lady on the bus did the right thing.

Exactly 💯
That's the thing.
Demanding for something rudely ruins it all.
Thank you very much dear for your input 🥰

I'm glad that the woman stood her ground, and didn't back down to rude treatment and behavior. That sort of thing would annoy me too, my friend. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Hahaha, sometimes people use one's position in life to appeal to one's conscience. Must they discomfort the woman with the child simply because she is a woman? Some people sefl

Good manners and kind words usually elicit people's kindness. I think they should have exhibited some good manners towards the woman. Maybe she would have helped.

The funny part is,they are the ones who suffered more.
