Relationships - When we agree to be in a romantic relationship with someone: Does that person own us? Do we own that person? Why do you think some people believe their partner belongs to them or that they own them? Would you be in a relationship with someone who thinks they own you? Why?

When it comes to relationship and love most people play the game of the heart or better still emotions.
They don't consider most things right because their emotions made the decision for them.
And we all know and would agree that decision made through emotions are bad decisions and will hurt us forever.

Being in a romantic relationship with someone means you both love and respect each other deeply.
That doesn't mean you own the person, neither does it means you shouldn't be involved in each other's daily life activities.

There should always be boundaries and space, a constant monitoring and tracking doesn't do any good.
It gives room for many negativity, distrust and jealousy.

If truly we both love and respect each other, you shouldn't feel the need that I am answerable to you always.

I don't know for others but to me that is a boring,tricky and unpleasant lifestyle.

Of course, I wouldn't sign myself up for such relationship.

Because when you start feeling entitled to someone, things certainly begins to fall apart because you expect too much.

There is no way someone who thinks they own you won't expect some certain things from you, and once those criterias are not meant, disappointment follows, disrespect sets in, conflicts and unnecessary arguments aren't left behind.

So, it's a no for me because it's certainly going to be a toxic relationship for me when there is entitlement syndrome.
