A primitive Welcome to the science of Light Supply

Hello Everyone

In the first five months, I stayed in Bayelsa State, Yenagoa, in Nigeria.

I didn't have a good experience to talk about concerning power supply.

Being my first time in the state, it was indeed an unpleasant welcome.

There was no power supply at all in the whole state because the upline poles and wires broke down and were vandalised.

They started working on it with a promise of us getting power supply months after months.

Initially, I deeply believed the light was going to be restored anytime soon.

Until three months passed without any results, it became a part of it.

Pay charge was my only means of survival and my workplace whenever they power the generator.

The fourth month became so hard because people started reducing how they ran on fuel and diesel, indeed it wasn't easy.

Then, close to Christmas celebrations, they became serious about the light, but I ran back to my hometown to enjoy light before resuming.

I came back to meet light supply hurray 🎉

The first one weeks, we had light non-stop that I felt I was somewhere else 😂😂

Then reality hit back to when the power holding people came to stabilise things according to them.

We pay a general fee of two thousand naira for light supply monthly.

The light fee wasn't compared to the upper side and they get more power supply than us.

They started giving us light 3 days in a week, which is still fair enough than nothing.
At least for those 3 days, they will supply it for at least 12 hours per day, sometimes 10 hours.

But I wish it was one day off one day on, than three days straight.

Anyways at least we get some power supply because those 5 months without light were really a huge blow.

Thank you very much for stopping by my blog

Do enjoy the rest of your day.

Omo, five months without electricity is like doomsday. I don't even want to imagine it

It's almost the same situation in most Nigerian states. In my state, power supply only improved after the recent administration took over. Still, a lot of people find it difficult to pay the electricity bill because it's too high.

Just 3 days in a whole week? That’s not fair at all but half a loaf is better than none. I hope it improves with time.

If I remember correctly, we stayed 2 years without light in my area in Rivers state

The people that owned the land said they would not pay prolly because the gas used to power the station is from their land.

Omo, nothing spoil, power cables good, transformer just good but them still show us shege.

Its just 9ja for you
