This June has had nights of torrential downpours and a lot of mornings with fogs so dense that it is necessary to look at the clock to know what time it is, because it is difficult for the sunlight to illuminate the streets which tend to disappear in the distance, as if an impenetrable white erased them together with their memories and their time...

Este Junio ha tenido noches de aguaceros torrenciales y un montón de mañanas de nieblas tan densas que, hacen necesario mirar el reloj para saber que hora es, pues a la luz solar se le dificulta iluminar las calles que tienden a desaparecer en la distancia, como si un blanco impenetrable las borrase junto con sus memorias y su tiempo...

As usual, it is impossible to go for a walk in these streets and not find a lot of little stories going on everywhere... But for me, in addition to the present, it is also a trip to the past, when about 45 years ago I was just a kid of 7 or 8 years old going through these streets with my school uniform and books in my backpack... Back then the town was a prettier place and most of the facades were well painted, and the pavement of the streets was smooth and without cracks or puddles... Here, nowadays, you can feel the decadence floating along with the fog in every street...

Como siempre, es imposible salir a caminar en estas calles y no encontrarse con un montón de pequeñas historias ocurriendo por todas partes... Pero para mi, además del presente, también es un viaje al pasado, cuando hace unos 45 años yo era apenas un niño de 7 u 8 años yendo por estas calles con mi uniforme escolar y libros en mi mochila... En aquel entonces el pueblo era un más bonito y la mayoría de las fachadas estaban bien pintadas, además el pavimento del as calles estaba liso y sin grietas ni charcas... Aquí, hoy por hoy, se nota la decadencia flotando junto con la niebla en cada calle...

Regardless of what happens here, this is still a place full of images and it is still difficult for me to understand why there are not more people taking pictures in these eloquent and changing streets... But anyway, for the moment I have all this to myself and I try to understand it and record it in the best way... Lately it's “ghost” to whom I usually call: “You better get out of here” appears too often before me, but I - faithful to my obsessions - keep looking him in the eyes without answering him, until he runs away in panic shouting: “gosh, this guy with camera is so crazy” 😂....

Indistintamente de lo que aquí acontezca, este sigue siendo un lugar repleto de imágenes y a mi me sigue siendo difícil entender como es que no no hay más personas haciendo fotos en estas calles elocuentes y cambiantes... Pero en fin, por el momento tengo todo esto para mi solo y procuro entenderlo y registrarlo de la mejor manera... Últimamente es "fantasma" al cual suelo llamar: "Mejor vete de aquí" aparece con demasiada frecuencia ante mí, pero yo -fiel a mis manías- sigo mirándole a los ojos sin contestarle, hasta que él huye despavorido gritando: "cielos, este tipo con cámara está muy loco" 😂...

It seems to me that this town, called “Montalbán” (from the Latin "montem"= mountain and “albanum”= white) precisely because its mountains are covered with white clouds very often, still has plenty of mists for me to immerse myself in them and in its streets for a few more years... I don't know, at least it seems so to me 😉...

Me parece que este pueblo, llamado "Montalbán" (del Latín "montem"=montaña y "albanum"= blanco) precisamente porque sus montañas se cubren de nubes blancas con mucha frecuencia, tiene aún muchas nieblas para que yo me sumerja en ellas y en sus calles durante algunos años más... No sé, cuando menos a mi me parece así 😉...
