¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Hoy traigo para ustedes algo un poco distinto... Se trata de fotos que hice desde el borde de una laguna cercana a una angosta carretera que comunica mi pueblo Montalbán, con un pequeño caserío al norteste llamado "Aguirre"... Ven conmigo y mira estas fotos en las cuales he tratado de explotar la abstracción típica de este tipo de lugares en la naturaleza...

Hello monochromatic #Hive friends!.... Today I bring you something a little different.... These are photos I took from the edge of a lagoon near a narrow road that connects my village Montalbán, with a small hamlet to the Northeast called ‘Aguirre’... Come with me and look at these photos in which I have tried to exploit the abstraction typical of this kind of places in nature...

The story of these photos begins on a sunny Monday morning of this week, when after a weekend of heavy rains, our valley woke up bathed by an intense and warm sun shining under a pristine blue sky... So, I decided to take advantage of this favourable change in the weather and set off on my old bicycle for a ride along the road that leads to the hamlet called ‘Aguirre’, some 7 kilometres from our village... I returned from that place almost at noon and was surprised by the intense heat and sunlight. So when I reached a stretch of road shaded by big trees, I decided to stop there to lower my body temperature, catch my breath (I'm not exactly an athlete) and -obviously- look a bit in the direction of a small lagoon that is about 40 metres from the road... The light was a bit annoying due to the time and the absence of clouds, however I managed to take some pictures that I found interesting and which I am sharing here with you today...

La historia de estas fotos comienza la soleada mañana del día lunes de esta semana, cuando después de un fin de semana de intensas lluvias, nuestro valle despertó bañado por un sol intenso y cálido alumbrando dobe un cielo prístino y azul... Entonces, decidí aprovechar este cambio favorable del clima y salir en mi vieja bicicleta para dar un paseo a través de la carretera que lleva hasta el caserío llamado "Aguirre" a unos 7 kilómetros de nuestro pueblo... Retorné de ese lugar casi en horas del mediodía y me vi sorprendido por el intenso calor y luz solar. Así que cuando llegué a un tramo de carretera sombreado por grandes árboles, decidí hacer una parada allí para bajar mi temperatura corporal, recuperar el aliento (no soy precisamente un atleta) y -obviamente- mirar un poco en dirección a una pequeña laguna que está a unos 40 metros de la carretera... La luz era un tanto molesta debido a la hora y a la ausencia de nubes, sin embargo me las arreglé para hacer algunas fotos que me parecieron interesantes y las cuales estoy compartiendo aquí con ustedes hoy...

Aquatic bodies and I have a distant relationship... I'm a lousy swimmer for crying out loud!... So I try not to get too close to deep water. Also, the shores of this small lagoon were extremely muddy and overgrown with weeds and broken branches, all this forced me to take these pictures from a safe distance, but I could take advantage of the wide focal range of the 18-200mm zoom lens I was using that morning, so my main concern was to deal with the complicated luminosity of the moment and avoid sinking into the mud... ;)

Los cuerpos acuáticos y yo tenemos una relación distante... ¡Soy un pésimo nadador caray!... Así que procuro no acercarme demasiado a lugares profundos. Además, las orillas de esta pequeña laguna estaban sumamente fangosas y repletas de maleza junto con ramas rotas, todo esto me obligó a hacer estas fotos desde cierta distancia, pero pude aprovechar el amplio rango focal del lente zoom 18-200mm que estaba usando aquella mañana, así que mi mayor preocupación se basó en lidiar con la complicada luminosidad del momento y evitar hundirme en el fango... ;)

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
