Today, contrary to what I usually do when I do one of my "Street Photography Selections," I used very recent photos. I'd say all of these photos I'm sharing today were taken less than seven days ago. And I think the cat in photo 01, which I photographed just this morning, was to blame for this. This little animal's expression was so funny to me that I could hardly stop laughing after taking that portrait. And then when I was in front of my PC processing and editing that photo, I also burst out laughing 😂😻... Cats are serious business, really. They look like "naughty little angels" posted on the various corners of the streets, judging with their gaze and waiting for the right moment to let me know that they are the ones in charge of their space... And that's how, after working on the photo of this lovely kitten, I ended up going through my most recent RAW files and selecting these photographs to turn them into black and white and sharing them with you today on #Hive... 😉

Hoy, contrario a casi siempre que hago una de mis "Street Photography Selections", use fotos muy recientes, yo diría que todas estas fotos las cuales comparto hoy, fueron hechas hace menos de siete días. Y me parece que la culpa de esto la tuvo ese gato de la foto 01, el cual fotografié apenas hoy en la mañana, pues la expresión de este animalito me resultó tan graciosa que casi no podía parar de reírme después hacerle ese retrato y luego cuando estuve en frente de mi PC procesando y editando esa foto, también me deshice en risas 😂😻... Los gatos son cosa seria en realidad. Parecen "pequeños ángeles traviesos" apostados en los diversos rincones de las calles, juzgando con su mirada y esperando el momento propicio para hacerme saber que ellos son quienes mandan en su espacio... Y así fue como, después de trabajar sobre la foto de este encantador gatito, terminé recorriendo mis archivos RAW más reciente y seleccionando estas fotografías para virarlas al blanco y negro y compartiendo hoy con ustedes en #Hive... 😉

As you can see, after getting home and hastily processing that cat portrait I liked so much, I selected a wide-angle image of a street also from today (photo 02) and from there on I immersed myself in a search and selection of more cryptic and close-up images taken by me on the streets of the town... When I look at my photos I understand myself a little more and I see my volatile and changing character reflected in them, because my photos are as diverse from each other as my mood can be from one moment to the next. It is because of these types of observations that I often say that my passion for photography has a lot of self-analysis, self-inquiry, catharsis and even "yoga"... And it seems to me that it is through my street photography that I most achieve all of that...

Como pueden observar, después de haber llegado a casa y procesar de manera casi que apresurada ese retrato del gato el vual me gustó tanto, seleccioné una imagen de toma amplia de una calle también de hoy (foto 02) y de allí en más me sumergí en una búsqueda y selección de imágenes más crípticas y cercanas hechas por mi en las calles del pueblo... Cuando observo mis fotos me entiendo a mi mismo un poco más y veo reflejado en ella mi carácter volátil y cambiante, pues mi fotos son así de diversas entre sí, como puede ser mi humor de un momento a otro. Es debido a este tipo de observaciones que con frecuencia digo que mi afición por la fotografía tiene mucho de autoanálisis, de auto-indagación, de cataris y hasta de "yoga"... Y me parece que a través de mis fotos callejeras es como más alcanzo todo eso...

Photo 09 deserves this note: Julio has been selling yuca (cassava) on the same corner for about 30 years, but his very old scale doesn’t have a needle to indicate the weight of what he’s selling 😂... We here already know that Julio just puts things on the scale and calculates a weight and a price according to what comes to mind and all his customers just pay and leave happy with their “yuca” to cook later... But the really funny thing happens when someone new or foreigner comes to buy at Julio’s kiosk and when they see the scale says: "But your scale doesn’t have a needle!" and Julio with a serious attitude answers: "It’s digital!" 😂... At that moment Julio knows if he will have a new client or has made a new enemy! 😂... This town can be really fun if you know where to pay your attention!

La foto 09 merece esta nota: Julio vende yuca en la misma esquina desde hace unos 30 años, pero su viejísima balanza no tiene aguja para indicar el peso de lo que vende 😂... Las personas aquí ya sabemos que Julio simplemente pone las cosas en la balanza y calcula un peso y un precio según a él le pasa por la cabeza y todos sus clientes simplemente pagan y se marchan felices con su "yuca" para cocinar después... Pero lo realmente cómico sucede cuando alguien nuevo o foráneo viene a comprar al quiosco de Julio y al ver la balanza dice: ¡Pero su balanza no tiene aguja! y Julio con talante serio le contesta: ¡Es que es digital! 😂... ¡En ese momento Julio sabe si tendrá un nuevo cliente o ha hecho un enemigo! 😂... ¡Este pueblo puede ser realmente divertido si uno sabe en donde poner la atención!
