Hello friends of #Hive!... I'm here with you again with some of my "Stolen Stories" from my town's streets and specially shared for your enjoyment and to participate in today's #monomad challenge.

¡Hola amigos de #Hive!... Estoy aquí junto a ustedes de nuevo con algunas de mis "Historias Robadas" desde las calles de mi pueblo y especialmente compartidas para el disfrute de ustedes y para participar en el reto #monomad de hoy.

"Bob, Federico and son (Federico's son, not Bob's son 😂)" / _{"Bob, Federico e hijo (el de Federico, no de Bob)"}

My friend Federico (the oldest, on the left side, just under Bob's chin) is a very jovial guy and seeing him smile makes anyone's day. But his son (whose name I always forget) is always very serious and frowny... But the best thing about this photo (besides my friend's amused expression) is the Bob Marley mural in the background with this quote:

"Keep what you have,
forget what hurts,
fight for what you want,
value what you have,
forgive those who hurt you
and enjoy the one who loves you".

Mi amigo Federico (el de mayor edad, del lado izquierdo, justo bajo el mentón de Bob) es alguien muy jovial y verlo sonreír mejora el día de cualquiera. Pero su hijo (cuyo nombre siempre olvido) es de talante siempre muy serio y cejijunto... Pero lo mejor de esta foto (además de la expresión divertida de mi amigo) es el mural de Bob Marley al fondo con esta frase:

"Conserva lo que tienes,
olvida lo que te duele,
lucha por lo que quieres,
valora lo que posees,
perdona a los que te hieren
y disfruta a quien te ama".

"Pedro, up and down the street" / _{"Pedro, calle arriba y calle abajo"}

My friend and neighbour Pedro, perhaps the person who walks the most kilometres daily in our village 😂... I see him walking at almost any time of the day, no matter the weather or the day of the week. I use to tell him as a joke: "Pedro, if we put you to walk in a straight line, you would leave our state every day" 😂

Mi amigo y vecino Pedro, quizás es la persona que mayor cantidad de kilómetros camina a diario en nuestro pueblo 😂... Le veo caminar a casi cualquier hora, sin importar el clima o el día de la semana que sea. Yo suelo decirle a manera de broma: "Pedro, si te pusiésemos a caminar en linea recta, saldrías diariamente de nuestro estado" 😂

Lisandro, also known as "Tacoa". / _{Lisandro, también conocido como "Tacoa"}

Lisandro grew up with me in the streets of the neighbourhood... I am 52 years old and Lisandro ("Tacoa" as we all affectionately call him) is perhaps only a couple of years older. I still see him in the mornings as soon as I go for a walk, as he always appears somewhere in the street. Curiously, I had never taken a photo of him, until the day I was talking to him and I took this portrait... It seems to me that we are all getting old in these streets.

Lisandro creció junto conmigo en las calles del vecindario... Yo tengo 52 años de edad y Lisandro ("Tacoa" como cariñosamente le decimos todos) quizás sea apenas un par de años mayor. Le sigo mirando en las mañanas apenas salgo a caminar, pues siempre aparece en algún lugar de la calle. Curiosamente, nunca le había hecho una foto, hasta el día en el que conversando con él, le disparé este retrato... Me parece que todos nos estamos haciendo viejos en estas calles.

"Frank in the south corner of the square". / _{"Frank en la esquina sur de la plaza"}

Taking a photo of a bench in the square, my friend Frank appeared crossing the street... As I said before, it seems to me that "we are getting old in this neighbourhood"... Well, I remember Frank playing and running through the streets, but now he's that big and serious man you can see in the distance in this photo... The years go by without us realising how fast it happens!

Haciendo una foto de una banco en la plaza, apareció mi amigo Frank atravezando en la calle... Tal como dije antes, me parece que "nos estamos haciendo viejos en este vecindario"... Pues recuerdo que Frank jugando y corriendo por las calles, pero ahora es ese hombre corpulento y serio que se ve a lo lejos en esta foto... ¡Los años pasan sin que nos percatemos de cuan rápido sucede!

On the way to "Hacienda el Recreo". / _{Rumbo a la "Hacienda el Recreo"}

Forty years ago, when the month of May came, I used to walk along this street towards the entrance to the "Hacienda el Recreo", there were many mango trees there and in May they used to have a lot of fruit. So it was common for me and other kids to be there for hours getting our fill of magicians... Now the access to that place is limited, the new owners don't allow the kids to go there like before... Geez... What will happen now with all those mangoes?.

Cuarenta años atrás, cuando llegaba el mes de Mayo, yo solía caminar por esta calle hacia la entrada de la "Hacienda el Recreo", allí habían muchos árboles de mango y en Mayo solían tener muchos frutos. Entonces era común que tanto yo como otros chicos estuviésemos allí durante horas hartándonos de magos... Ahora el acceso a ese lugar está limitado, sus nuevos propietarios no permiten el acceso a los chico como antes... Caray...¿Que sucederá ahora con todos esos mangos?.

"Carlos at the church door" / _{"Carlos en la puerta de la iglesia"}

Sometimes the village seems to be silent and its streets empty, while I wander around without thinking about anything, just walking with my camera and a 50mm lens... Then, without warning, the silence gives an image... Like this one of Carlos, almost imperceptible there... That's how street photography is sometimes.

Algunas veces el pueblo parece estar en silencio y sus calles vacías, mientas yo deambulo por allí sin pensar en nada, simplemente caminando con mi cámara y un lente 50mm... Entonces, sin avisar, el silencio regala una imagen... Como esta de Carlos, casi imperceptible allí... Así es la fotografía callejera a veces.

"Stop, stop,stop please, don't leave me here!" / _{"¡Deténganse, deténganse, no me dejen aquí!"}

😂 This kid is enrolled in baseball school and apparently he missed the bus to take him and his teammates to practice on Saturday.... I've never seen anyone run so fast in my entire life! 😂😂😂... Fortunately his teammates and the driver saw him and stopped the vehicle to wait for him...And I got an interesting "action shot"!.

😂 Este chico está inscrito en una escuela de baseball y al parecer ha perdido el autobús que le llevará a el y a sus compañeros a las prácticas del Sábado... ¡Nunca había visto a nadie correr tan rápido en toda mi vida! 😂😂😂... Afortunadamente sus compañeros y el chofer le vieron y han detenido el vehículo para esperarle...¡Y yo he obtenido una interesante "foto de acción"!.
