It’s good to wake up early, to get away from the town along a path shrouded in mist awaiting dawn, and then climb a small hill that allows me to come face to face with the first light, with the valley and the horizon crowned by mountains that rise, as if wanting to reach a sky that already shows its first blues of the day… And of course, also to find myself with silence, with that silence that the first minutes of the day have, after the darkness has gone and the sun comes to illuminate its domains again… It’s a silence that floods everything and moves us, it’s also a silence so present that it’s impossible to ignore, it’s unbreakable for a few moments and can even infiltrate through the lens of my camera and let itself be photographed… So it happened then, this morning of the silent landscape, whose photos I brought today to share with you here at #Hive…

Es bueno despertar temprano, alejarme del pueblo a través de un camino envuelto en nieblas que esperan el amanecer, y entonces, escalar alguna pequeña colina la cual me permita encontrarme frente a frente con las primeras luces, con el valle y con el horizonte coronado por montañas que se alzan, como queriendo alcanzar un cielo que ya luce sus primeros azules del día... Y claro, también encontrarme con el silencio, con ese silencio que tienen los primeros minutos del día, después de que se ha ido la oscurana y viene el sol a iluminar sus dominios nuevamente... Es un silencio que lo inunda todo y nos conmueve, también es un silencio tan presente que es imposible do obviar, es inquebrantable durante unos momentos e incluso puede infiltrarse a través del lente de mi cámara y dejarse fotografiar... Así ocurrió entonces, esta mañana del paisaje silencioso, cuyas fotos traje hoy para compartir con ustedes aquí en #Hive...

Silence suddenly assails thought and stops it; at least that's how it happens to me in cases like this... I'm climbing the slope and thinking things like: I'll look this way and that way, I'll take a photograph like this and another one like that too, then I'll walk to that mound and then to those trees... But all this suddenly stops when I realize that the only noise that persists is that of my thoughts. Then, even my mind falls silent, and that's when one "observes and listens to the silence"... It doesn't always happen like this; sometimes there are birds, or the wind itself caressing the trees, or the murmur of people in the distance. But not this time; in this place there was only that "silence," and so I looked without thinking and stole these photos embedded in sections of subtle mist, further beautifying an already beautiful landscape... I was lucky...

El silencio asalta por sorpresa al pensamiento y lo detiene; cuando menos es así como a mi me sucede en casos como este... Voy ascendiendo por la cuesta y voy pensando cosas como: miraré hacia allá y hacia este otro lado, haré una fotografía así y otra de esta manera también, luego caminaré hasta aquel montículo y luego hasta aquellos árboles... Pero todo esto cesa de manera repentina cuando me percato que el único ruido que persiste es el de mis pensamientos. Entonces, incluso mi mente se enmudece y es allí cuando uno "observa y escucha el silencio"... No sucede siempre así; algunas veces hay aves, o el viento mismo acariciando los árboles, o el murmullo de las personas a lo lejos. Pero no esta vez, en este lugar hubo solo eso "silencio" y entonces miré sin pensar y robé estas fotos embebidas en gajos de nieblas sutiles embelleciendo aún más un paisaje ya de por sí hermoso... Tuve suerte...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
