Today was a long and busy day, full of things to do, many of them work-related, others involving family commitments, and still others the usual requirements of keeping a household running more or less smoothly. So it was impossible for me to go out and take photos today, and it wasn't until around 4:00 PM that I finally had some free time to retreat to my little studio and isolate myself from the rest of the world while I select, process, and edit photos... Yes, my favorite way to unwind!...

Hoy fue un día largo y repleto de cosas por hacer, muchas de ellas relativas a trabajo, otras más tenían que ver con compromisos familiares y otras tantas con los acostumbrados requerimientos inherentes a mantener un hogar funcionando de manera más o menos correcta. Así que me fue imposible salir a hacer fotografías hoy, y en realidad fua cerca de las 4:00 PM cuando tuve tiempo libre para meterme en mi pequeño estudio y aislarme del resto del mundo mientras selecciono, proceso y edito fotos... ¡Sí, mi catarsis favorita para todo!...

This time, I decided to search through my recent countryside photo archives, as I have been on several trips to the countryside in recent weeks and I knew I had many interesting photos that I hadn't processed, edited, or shared. That's how I ended up choosing several photos from different days, with different weather conditions and, of course, very different lighting conditions... I loved the result, as I found a little bit of everything in this search. From simple photos of the rural landscape, to photos of roads, plowed fields, pastures, some farm animals, a boy on horseback, and even a cute and cuddly puppy at the gate of his owners' property watching who passes by on the road... Certainly, the countryside also has a lot of magic to offer when you visit it...

Y esta vez decidí buscar en mis archivos de fotos campestres recientes, pues he hecho varias excursiones al campo en las ultimas semanas y sé que tenía muchas fotografías interesantes sin procesar, editar, y por ende sin compartir. Así fue como terminé escogiendo varias fotos de días diferentes, con climas diferentes y por supuesto con climas diferentes y luminosidad muy diversa entre ellas... El resultado me encantó, ya que encontré un poco de cada cosa en esta búsqueda. Desde fotos simples del paisaje rural, pasando por fotos de caminos, tierras aradas, pastizales, algunos animales de granja, un chico a caballo e incluso un lindo y tierno perrito bebé en la puerta de la propiedad de sus amos observando quien pasa por el camino... Ciertamente, el campo también tiene un montón de magia para entregar cuando se le visita...

It's funny, but looking at these photos in my archives, I've discovered that I took many of them after spending most of the morning taking advantage of the fog to take dramatic photos (you know me, you know I love fog, and in my town it's quite common)... So, as I was saying, most of these photos were taken “after the fog” and I could say that they are a bit of an “add-on” to my photographic mornings. But the truth is that when I make these selections in the days that follow, I am fascinated by the things I can find in some of these photos...

Es curioso, pero mirando estas fotos en mis archivos, he descubierto que muchas de ellas las he hecho después de haber estado buena parte de la mañana aprovechando la presencia de la niebla para hacer fotos cargadas de drama (ustedes ya me conocen, saben que amo la niebla y en mi pueblo estas es algo común)... Entonces, como venía diciendo, buena parte de estas fotos son hechas "después de la niebla" y podría decir que son un poco "adicionales" a mis mañanas fotográfica. Pero la verdad es que cuando hago estas selecciones en días posteriores, quedo fascinado con las cosas que puedo encontrar en algunas de estas fotos...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
