I woke up thinking about a lot of things. Basically, I've been mentally planning a new project, which involves formally re-establishing some kind of business. I mean something with its own premises located in a commercial area of ​​a nearby town (whose economy is more active than the one where I live) and dedicating myself to growing some kind of commercial activity based on some kind of product, preferably non-perishable. But, since I think better while walking through the streets or the countryside, and especially if I'm also taking photographs, instead of staying home thinking about this project; I decided to take advantage of the morning and go out into the streets to continue thinking there...

Me desperté pensando en un montón de cosas. Básicamente, he estado planificando mentalmente algún nuevo proyecto, el cual tiene que ver con volver a establecer algún tipo de negocio de manera formal. Me refiero a algo con su propio local ubicado en alguna zona comercial de un pueblo cercano (cuya economía es más activa que la de este en donde vivo) y dedicarme a hacer crecer algún tipo de actividad de comercio basada en algún tipo de rubro, preferiblemente no perecedero. Pero, como a mi se me da mejor pensar mientras camino por las calles o por el campo, y en especial si mientras hago eso también hago fotografías, entonces, en lugar de quedarme en casa pensando ese proyecto; decidí aprovechar la mañana y salir a las calles para seguir pensando allí...

While taking these casual photos on the streets, I was reminiscing about my experience as a tech gadget vendor from 2011 to 2020. It was a positive experience, and it was a type of merchandise I knew well. Furthermore, Bejuma (a town 7 km from Montalbán) was a good market for selling tech products. However, the arrival of the pandemic in 2020 forced my business to close, and by the time I was able to reopen, the impact on our region's economy had been truly devastating. This led to irreversible bankruptcy in early 2022. But now, given the recent political and economic events in our country, most people feel that the local economic situation will begin to improve rapidly soon. And, in fact, there are already some noticeable signs of this. Because of all this, I'm considering reactivating some kind of formal business in this area...

Mientras hacía estas fotos casuales en las calles, iba recordando mi experiencia como comerciante de gadgets tecnológicos desde 2011 hasta el 2020. La experiencia fue buena y era un tipo de mercancía la cual conocía bien. Además Bejuma (un pueblo a 7 Km de Montalbán) era una buena plaza para vender cosas de tecnología. Sin embargo, la llegada de la pandemia en 2020 a nuestro país, hizo que mi negocio tuviese que ser cerrado y para el momento en el que puede volver a abrir sus puertas, el impacto en la economía de nuestra región había sido realmente devastador. Razón por la cual terminó todo en una quiebra irreversible a principios de 2022... Pero ahora, dados los últimos acontecimientos políticos y económicos ocurridos en nuestro país, la mayoría de las personas tienen la percepción de que la situación económica local comenzará e mejorar rápidamente dentro de poco tiempo. Y, de hecho, ya hay algunas señales perceptibles al respecto. Es debido a todo esto, que me encuentro pensando en volver a activar algún tipo de comercio formal en esta zona...

The idea of ​​returning to work as a formal merchant is still just a nascent thought, but I'm considering it and even thinking about sectors more aligned with the new economic realities. I've analyzed things ranging from agricultural supplies to biodegradable disposable packaging. I don't yet know which path to take, but I'm mentally working on it, as I'm paying attention to the perceptions of many here, who speak of a better future that seems feasible in the short and medium term...

La idea de volver a trabajar como comerciante formal es aún algo incipiente en mi cabeza, pero voy pensando en eso e incluso estoy pensando en rubros más acordes a las nuevas realidades económicas, y he analizado cosas que van desde insumos agrícolas hasta empaques desechables biodegradables. No sé aún que rumbo tomar, pero estoy trabajando mentalmente en eso, pues estoy atento a la percepción de muchos aquí, quienes hablan de un mejor porvenir factible a corto y mediano plazo...

And well, speaking a bit about these photos... Wow, what colors I found in the streets today! I took these photos without thinking too much, since I was already thinking about everything I wrote previously, but when I checked my camera's memory card, I was delighted with some of them. So I decided to use them to share in this post and at the same time talk a little about my thoughts on future projects...

Y bueno, hablando un poco de estas fotos... ¡Vaya colores encontré hoy en las calles!... Hice estas fotos sin pensar demasiado, pues ya iba pensando en todo lo que escribí previamente, pero al revisar la memoria de mi cámara quedé encantado con algunas de ellas. Así que decidí usarlas para compartir en esta publicación y al mismo tiempo hablar un poco acerca de mis pensamientos en proyectos futuros...
