My town is a good place to experience the bipolarity of the streets, their randomness, their diversity and, of course, their complexity... So this selection of photos which I brought today to share with you in #Hive, is a bit as changeable and diverse as the town itself...

Mi pueblo es un buen lugar para experimentar la bipolaridad de las calles, su aleatoriedad, su diversidad y, como no, su complejidad... Así que esta selección de fotos las cuales traje hoy para compartir con ustedes en #hive, es un poco así de cambiante y diversa como el pueblo mismo...

Here the lonely elderly are forced to work until their last days (📷 01) the retirement pension is little more than 3$ at the official exchange rate, for many, get older is a sentence of pain and loneliness, especially for those whose sons have migrated outside the country... My Uncle Miguél (📷 02) usually sits looking at the streets around the main square. Actually he is not my uncle, but my brother-in-law's father (which is the same as: “my sister's father-in-law”) but he is a relative of my mother's, so close that my sister and brother-in-law had to process an ecclesiastical license in order to get married since they are fourth degree cousins.... Two cats have a nice little fight in front of my eyes (📷 03) and make me laugh out loud. It's because of this kind of thing that I usually say that this town is bipolar.... And finally I photographed the entrance to Luis' house (📷 04), I've wanted to do it a lot of times before, but precisely that day, everything there seemed to be “posing”.... And in Ricaurte Street I meet a dog lying down ( 📷 05), this one looks at me as if saying: could you tell that stupid rooster to stop crowing yet? 😂...

Aquí los ancianos solitarios se ven forzados a trabajar hasta su últimos días (📷 01) la pensión por jubilación es de poco más de 3$ al cambio oficial, para muchos, envejecer es una sentencia de dolor y soledad, en especial para aquellos cuyos hijos han migrado fuera del país... Mi Tío Miguél (📷 02) suele sentarse a mirar las calles alrededor de la plaza mayor. En realidad no es mi tío, sino el padre de mi cuñado (lo que es lo mismo que: "el suegro de mi hermana") pero es un pariente de mi madre, tan cercano que mi hermana y mi cuñado tuvieron que tramitar una licencia eclesiástica para poder contraer matrimonio ya que son primos en cuarto grado... Dos gatos arman un simpático zafarrancho ante mis ojos (📷 03) y me hacen soltar una ruidosa carcajada. Es por este tipo de cosas que suelo decir que este pueblo es bipolar... Y finalmente fotografíe la entrada a la casa de Luis (📷 04), he querido hacerlo un montón de veces anteriormente, pero ese día precisamente, todo allí parecía estar "posando"... Y en la Calle Ricaurte me encuentro con un perro echado ( 📷 05), este me mira como diciendo: ¿podrías decirle a ese estúpido gallo que ya pare de cantar? 😂...

One of Miguel's little dogs has gone outside to sunbathe (📷 06) and he seems to like that freshly painted wall to do it... The bicycle of Mr. Diaz (📷 07) the scissors sharpener and repairer of a thousand things, looks like something out of a Picasso's work, Mr. Diaz likes to assemble his own bikes with parts of others, sometimes these have disassembled between his legs, but this one seems to have turned out pretty solid 😂... Don Jaime (📷 08) retired bus driver, still visits every morning some bakery to buy a cup of coffee and drink it chatting with someone, Don Jaime is lucky, his sons are here and take care of him... And little Joselito (📷 09) my neighbor, has grown up fast and already runs errands for his mother during the mornings when he doesn't have school... And obviously: a goat in the middle of the street and dragging a loose rope, reminds me that this is a really random town! (📷 10) 😂...

Uno de los pequeños perros de Miguel ha salid a la calle a asolearse (📷 06) y parece que le gusta esa pared recién pintada para hacerlo... La bicicleta del Sr. Díaz (📷 07) el afilador de tijeras y reparador de mil cosas, parece sacada de una obra de Picasso, al Sr. Díaz le gusta armar sus propias bicicletas con partes de otras, algunas veces estas se han desarmado entre sus piernas, pero esta parece haber resultado bastante sólida 😂... Don Jaime (📷 08) chofer de autobuses ya retirado, sigue visitando cada mañana alguna panadería para comprar una taza de café y beberla conversando con alguien, Don Jaime tiene suerte, sus hijos sí están aquí y le cuidan... Y el pequeño Joselito (📷 09) mi vecino, ha crecido rápido y ya hace encargos para su madre durante las mañanas en las que no tiene escuela... Y obviamente: ¡Una cabra en pena calle y arrastrando un cabo suelto, me recuerda que este es un pueblo realmente aleatorio! (📷 10) 😂...
