The term “Chromatic Bifrontism” was something that came to my mind earlier today after waking up with an intense headache. I guess the fact that I had a busier than usual day, ended up making me have a very bad night's sleep. So by 4:30 AM I was on my feet and “breakfasting” on a painkiller. Then I fed my pets and decided to go into my studio to look at my pictures, process and edit them - usually this always relieves my headaches!.... And that's how I ended up selecting a few pictures which I thought were very suitable for this creative exercise I had in mind... 🤓📷

EL termino "Bifrontismo Cromatico" fue algo que se me vino a la mente hoy temprano después de despertar con una intensa jaqueca. Supongo que el hecho de haber tenido un día más ajetreado de lo común, terminó por hacerme tener una noche de muy mal dormir. Así que a las 4:30 AM estaba de ya pie y "desayunando" un analgésico. Luego di de comer a mis mascotas y decidí meterme en mi estudio a mirar mis fotografías, procesarlas y editarlas ¡eso siempre alivia mis dolores de cabeza generalmente!... Y así fue como terminé seleccionando una decena de fotografías las cuales me parecieron muy adecuadas para este ejercicio creativo el cual tenía en mente... 🤓📷

As you can see, these are my street photos processed and edited in color and B&W versions. So what I have done is to work each version independently (it is always necessary to adjust lights, contrasts, vignettes and so on in different ways when it comes to color versus B&W) and confront both resulting images in the same shot. All the images are based on 4:6 vertical rectangular format, this was necessary to maintain visual standard in the whole series which is formed by ten photographs... And obviously, my little captions couldn't be omitted!.... After all, these are my usual street photos, but behaving as if they were the ones with the headache and not me... 😂

Como pueden ver, se trata de mis fotos callejeras procesadas y editadas en versiones a color y en blanco y negro. Entonces lo que he hecho es trabajar cada versión independientemente (siempre es necesario ajustar luces, contrastes, viñetas y demás de maneras distintas cuando se trata de hacerlo a color versus B&W) y confrontar ambas imágenes resultantes en un mimo plano. Todas las imágenes están basadas en formato 4:6 rectangular vertical, esto fue necesario para mantener estándar visual en la serie completa la cual está formada por diez fotografías... ¡Y obviamente que no podían faltar mis pequeños títulos al pie!... Después de todo, se trata de mis fotos callejeras de siempre, aunque comportándose como si fuesen ellas las que tienen el dolor de cabeza y no yo... 😂

According to Gemini (Google's AI) this “Chromatic Bifrontism” is not a standard term within color theory or linguistics, so possibly the strong headache has made me wake up with a kind of “creative hallucination” 😂... But the truth is that I have enjoyed a lot doing this creative exercise, which for me has a little bit the character of “experimental photography” because I am looking at the results and I have the feeling of seeing a new photo, one that did not exist before combining the two versions of each image.... I really like abstraction and I spend a lot of time looking for it while taking pictures, so having pictures for this kind of work is relatively easy for me... And besides, my headache has decreased a lot while doing this!... 🙂

Según Gemini (la IA de Google) esto de "Bifrontismo Cromático" no es un término estándar dentro de la teoría del color o la lingüística, así que posiblemente el fuerte dolor de cabeza me ha hecho despertar con una especie de "alucinación creativa" 😂... Pero lo cierto es que he disfrutado un montón hacer este ejercicio creativo, el cual para mi tiene un poco el carácter de "fotografía experimental" pues estoy mirando los resultados y tengo la sensación de estar viendo una foto nueva, una que no existía antes de combinar las dos versiones de cada imagen... A mi me gusta mucho la abstracción y me la paso buscándole con frecuencia mientras hago fotografías, así que tener fotos para este tipo de trabajos se me hace relativamente fácil.... ¡Y además, mi dolor de cabeza ha disminuido muchísimo mientras hago esto!... 🙂

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7

NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
