As often happens, my recent photo files are overflowing with pictures of cats I've encountered on the streets of my town. In fact, every time I go through my files selecting photos to process and edit, I feel like I'm being watched by cats and I even hear meows 😹. So today, after fulfilling my morning work and home obligations, I made a selection of photos from January and February, and they're photos where the stars are our ever-charming and adorable feline friends... Please continue reading this #catscape post for you today on #Hive!... (And I don't know if you've seen the term "#catscape" before, but it popped into my head while making this post, it seemed fitting 😃 and that's why I used it 😼)...

Como suele suceder cada cierto tiempo, mis archivos fotográficos recientes están a reventar con imágenes de gatos que me encuentro en las calles de mi pueblo al recorrerlas. De hecho, cada vez que reviso mir archivos seleccionando fotografías para procesar y editar, siento que estoy siendo observado por gatos e incluso escucho maullidos 😹. Así que hoy, después de cumplir con mis asuntos de trabajo y de mi caso matutinos, hice una selección con algunas fotos de los días transcurridos en Enero y Febrero, y son fotos en las cuales los protagonistas son nuestros siempre simpáticos y adorables amigos gatunos... ¡Continúen por favor adelante en esta publicación de #catscape para ustedes hoy en #Hive!... (Y no sé si ya habían visto ese termino "#catscape" antes, pero a mi se me vino a la cabeza haciendo esta publicación, me pareció adecuado 😃 y por eso lo usé 😼)...

Some photos are vertical, others horizontal; there are also wide shots and close-up portraits of the cats. The truth is, these beautiful animals lend themselves to many different types of photography. I also kept the color scheme very close to nature, using adjustments to contrast, highlights, shadows, and whites to give the photos character while preserving the original colors as much as possible. And something I noticed once again, as I almost always do when I do series of cat photos, is how easily these animals "sense" they are being photographed and direct their gaze toward my camera lens almost immediately...

Son fotos en formato vertical algunas y en horizontal otras; también hay tomas amplias y retratos cercanos de los gatos. La verdad es que estos animales hermosos dan para hacer muchos tipos de fotografía. También mantuve el esquema de color dentro de rangos muy símiles a lo natural, haciendo uso de ajustes de contraste, luces, sombras y blancos para proveer carácter a las fotos manteniendo en lo posible el cromatismo de cada una. Y algo de lo que pude percatarme una vez más, como casi siempre que hago series de fotos de gatos; es la facilidad que tienen estos animales para "sentir" que están siendo fotografiados y dirigir la mirada hacia el lente de mi cámara casi de inmediato...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
