This is the second publication related to my most recent street photography exercise... If you haven't seen the first part, you can do it by clicking on this link: “ABANDONED PARK I”... These are photographs in a small park at the edge of town, whose state of preservation is more than questionable and which nevertheless, and perhaps because of this condition, delivers a vision splashed with drama and complexity, which is excellent for taking pictures, especially during a foggy morning and then spending a lovely time in front of my PC processing each image and turning them to black and white...

Esta es la segunda publicación relativa a mi más reciente ejercicio de fotografía callejera... Sí no has visto la primera parte, puedes hacerlo pulsando en este link: "ABANDONED PARK I"... Se trata de fotografías en un pequeño parque a las orillas del pueblo, cuyo estado de conservación es más que cuestionable y el cual sin embargo, y quizás debido a esta condición, entrega una visión salpicada de drama y complejidad, la cual es excelente para hacer fotografías, en especial durante una mañana con niebla y para luego pasar un encantador tiempo frente mi PC procesando cada imagen y virando estas al blanco y negro...

There are a lot of stories going on in and around this place... The abandonment of the old children's games and gym equipment, the presence of some people sitting on the battered benches trying to take advantage of the few remaining usable things in the park, the small pack of stray dogs that usually sleep inside the abandoned buildings of the place, the noise caused by the passage of vehicles through the main street of the town, the children going to school crossing the paths, the fog getting so thick at times that it seems to erase a little the ugliness of the decay and adds a touch of mystery to the scenes. .. And of course, there's me, there in the middle of it all, looking for precise spaces and moments, composing, using everything that's there to invent a photo that I like enough to tear myself away when I have it in front of me later on my monitor...All that is there, condensed, happening...

Hay un montón de historias ocurriendo en este lugar y sus alrededores... El abandono delos viejos juegos infantiles y aparatos de gimnasia, la presencia de algunas personas sentadas en las bancas maltrechas procurando aprovechar lo poco que resta utilizable del parque, la pequeña jauría de perros callejeros que suelen dormir dentro de las dependencias abandonadas del lugar, el ruido causado por el paso de vehículos por la calle principal del pueblo, los niños yendo a la escuela atravesando las caminerías, la niebla haciéndose a ratos tan espesa que parece borrar un poco la fealdad de la decadencia y agrega un toque halo de misterio a las escenas... Y por supuesto, estoy yo, allí en medio de todo esto, buscando espacios y momentos precisos, componiendo, usando todo lo que está allí para inventar una foto la cual me guste lo suficiente como para arrancarme cuando la tenga en frente de mí después en mi monitor...Todo eso está allí, condensado, sucediendo...

As I said in my post of part I, I didn't find this place too attractive for street photography. However, this day the dense fog changed my perception about it and I ended up staying more than an hour in the small park, let's say “understanding” the way I could take pictures there. In fact, I walked away from the place and started to wander around other streets further away, but I felt the urge to go back to continue taking pictures in the park while the fog was still present... So, that day, I practically visited it twice....

Tal como dije en mi publicación de la parte I, este lugar no me parecí demasiado atractivo para hacer fotos callejeras. Sin embargo, este día la niebla densa cambió mi percepción al respecto y terminé estando más de una hora en el pequeño parque, digamos que "entendiendo" la manera en la que podía hacer fotografías allí. De hecho, me alejé del lugar y comencé a deambular por otras calles más lejanas, pero sentí el impulso de regresar para seguir haciendo fotos en el parque mientras la niebla siguiese presente... Entonces, ese día, prácticamente lo visité dos veces...

There are a bunch more photos of this place in my archives, so I may spend another morning relaxing reviewing and processing images to build a third post to share with you here on #Hive, that day it seemed like the fog didn't want me to let me take photos there... ;)

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
