MY CAPSULATED WARDROBE with a touch of Minimalism
WHY I'M NEVER CAUGHT UNAWARE
My turnover of clothes has greatly reduced over the years, and maybe I'm due for a new wardrobe change, but that remains partly unnecessary for me at the moment.
My lifestyle is such that I abhor keeping dirty clothes. My hobby is washing, and I could wash every day of the week. My clothes don't get worn out as I do a light washing often.
TWO WEEK CLOTHES
My wardrobe is simple, but because of how neatly washed and pressed my clothes are, I could go for two weeks or more without washing and pressing my clothes. I have my clothes capsulated so that each category of clothing fits just where they belong: corporate wear, natives, and even casuals.
WARDROBE MIX
My ideology of being smartly dressed for occasions, irrespective of the wardrobe size and contents, propelled me to consciously select the mixed contents in my wardrobe. I love simple native wear as it feels less choking and more flexible, but when the occasion for corporate wear comes, I'm perfectly game. Rather than clutter my wardrobe into disarray, seeking out what to wear when the need arises, I have arranged my wardrobe in a capsule according to the type of clothes. The natives are neatly packed in a section, while the corporates are in another space.
INTERWOVEN CLOTHES
Black is a color that naturally goes with any color of cloth, and I make it a point of duty to have it in a reasonable amount, at least three. A black pants trouser can go with a corporate shirt and also with native wear; this is exclusive to the complete native attire I have. Navy blue is also a lovely choice for me; I practically love all navy blues. My corporate shirts aren't many, but I have about five of them, sparsely mixed with blues, blacks, and whites.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
To reduce the high turnover of clothes, I make efforts to pick original materials for my wardrobe, bearing in mind that such materials would be less resistant to fading from washing and would equally give a sense of esteem. Thus, though my clothes are few, I'm able to use them comfortably for a long time without the need for frequent changes or turnovers.
Thank you for reading. I would love to have your comments and contributions.
This is awesome man, quality over quantity is indeed a good choice because in the end, we end up spending more since the inferior materials will get bad quicker and there will be a need for replacement.
I do my laundry from time to time as well to avoid having piled up clothes... I don't do much packing shirts but when there is a need for it, I have a few that will suit any occasion.
It's definitely a good choice for quality. Thank you for your kind comment
Your post reminded me of my brother. He loves to wash his clothes and iron them. He does it so well that his clothes always look clean and he looks good. He likes to pick out what he wears and he keeps it up.
That's lovely. Guess we have someone and something in common
Your clothes are neatly folded and well arranged, that's nice. I like the fact that there's a section for each clothes which makes them accessible to get.
Thank you very much
