A Festival of Flavors: Exploring the World of Traditional Cakes

Several days ago, I attended a cake festival. I was very happy to be part of a cake festival for the first time. In my previous post about the cake festival, I discussed the stalls and a cultural event that took place during the festival. Today I will tell you what kind of cake was available at the festival.

There were a lot of traditional cakes being found. Each stall has tried to display different types of delicious cake. The same type of cake was also found in some stalls.

A card was placed on one side of the cake with their names and prices written on it. It is extremely difficult for me to pronounce the English name. Because most of them are traditional cakes. However, you will find a lot of information if you search the Bengali name of these cakes in English.

I am sharing the names of the cakes with you- Telbara Pitha, Sweet Pitha, Jamai Pitha, Flower Pitha, Sun Pitha, Milk Puli Pitha, Meat Puli Pitha, Opare Chitai Pitha, Milk Cake, Pan Cake, Rose Flower Pitha, Nakshi Pitha, Snail cake, palm cake etc.

Birthday cake was being found in a stall. I never expected to find the cake on the cake festival. Then in a stall, duck meat was found along the cake. Probably if someone wants to eat something spicy after eating sweet cakes, such an exception food has been kept.

I tried different types of cakes with my friend. I liked the taste of some cakes and the rest were average. I love the cleanliness of almost every shop in the cake festival. Almost everyone has attempted to cover the cake so that no dust, sand, or flies fall on it. I recall wanting to take pictures, and a shopkeeper removed the polythene paper from the cake for a while. The cake festival was a great experience for me.
