It's Columbus Day weekend here in the USA. That just means no mail delivery on Monday because it's the observance of the holiday. And from what I understand, October is Italian American Heritage month. Which is nice because that is my heritage but why do Veterans only get 1 day or if you count Memorial Day two days to be honored?

Sort of. I mean not many people are off from work for it. Just the postal service and maybe some of the public schools. They're having an event for Columbus Day/Italian American Heritage tomorrow down by the lake at the Farmer's Market. I don't do crowds so I won't be there but I've heard it's nice. I guess it's the second year they're doing it.
