Week 343 | My Splinterlands Art Contest Entry | Slimeball

Hello! 🤩

Happy Friday, y'all!

I hope your week is doing fine so far. Today was super hot and so, I cannot help but eat cold food like icecream and cold fruits. Currently experiencing 36 degrees, feel like. 🥲 I have not blogged for couple of days so I took the opportunity to be hyper-focused and produce art.

And so, for this week's contest, I chose Slimeball drawn into an anime girl. 😁

Art Process

Instead of drawing Slimeball on its original form, I thought of doing the character in an anime girl. I wanted to make a simple pose and expression

For the color, I used a color-picker tool and manually adjusted the saturation. For the hair, I chose the main color-geen, skin- a gray undertone, and the clothing-blue. I started working on the eyes first. I wanted a big iris this time. I wanted to be shiny since this is a slime character.

Now I used an airbrush and cell brush for the shading. I used a multiply layer to keep the under layer as an undertone color. Next was using a glitter brush and a glow brush for the shines.

Finally, adding a color gradient background. I chose an orange color as a contrast to the green character. I added bokehs and texture for added detail.

Finished art! ✨

Not me melting from the heat too! Ice cream has been my best friend all week. Anyway, your Slimeball girl is so cute — she looks like she belongs in a magical anime!”
