Ramen Nagi | Ramen for the Cold Weather! ๐
"Winter is coming". That's an inside joke of my friend and I when Philippines gets 26 degrees Celsius. ๐ We usually get around 29 to 33. In reality, we do not have a Winter season outta here. We have two seasons- the dry season and the wet season.
So whenever there is a slight drop in the temperature, we feel cold and we crave hot, brothy ramen. ๐๐
I cannot remember how many times I have dined in in Ramen Nagi. Let's say, it is always in my top recommendations when it comes to the ramen category.
Gladly we did not wait that long to call us for our seats. I wonder if people got fed up, and looked for other ramen restos. It used to be lined up for. Oh, well~ At least, it is easier now to get a table. ๐
The staff gave us the checklist where you can customize your very own ramen. You can customize the richness, spiciness, and even the garnishes. It all depends on your liking.
You have the option to choose which specific cut of pork you want for your protein. Shoulder or belly.
I got the rich broth, heavy garlic, with extra soft thin noodles. ๐
It took me about two minutes to finish customizing my ramen. While waiting to be served, my habit is to check the condiments and garnishes.
I am a fan of their kimchi cabbage and bean sprouts. ๐คฉ
It is unlimited, take as many as you want, but I recommend just take the right amount so as not to overpower the ramen itself.
I like that we can see how these hardworking chefs do the magic in the kitchen. I appreciate them wearing appropriate clothing. The staff were in aprons, gloves, and masks. Hair was tucked inside of a bandana. ๐๐ปโจ
We finished doing the checklist and handed it to the staff. My friend and I chatted a little bit about our careers and personal lives just to make time go faster because we were super hungry! ๐
Finally, after 10 minutes of waiting, we got our order served. We got two bowls of Butao King ramen and gyoza (Fried dumplings) served on a hot, sizzling plate.
Right away while the broth is hot, I then put a generous amount of bean sprouts and kimchi cabbage for additional toppings. ๐คฉ I forgot to order an egg, though. ๐ฅฒ
I took a sip of the rich broth and ahh~ craving satisfied! ๐ My tastebuds were rejoicing! ๐
I cannot stop slurping and sipping. There was silence because we were busy eating or were we just hungry that much? ๐
It is like a firework in the mouth!
The dumpling is equally filled with pork and veggies. I put the dumpling too soon. Ouch. ๐ฎโ๐จ
Nothing changed in the flavors and servings. It is exactly how it tastes every time I visit Ramen Nagi, even in different branches. ๐๐ป
Two Butao King ramen is 15.31 USD, gyoza 3 pcs is 2.85 USD, and ordered coke in can 1.57 USD. A total of 21.49 USD plus VAT and service charge. (1 USD=56.16 PHP*)
Were cravings satisfied? YES!โจ๐
