A Rainy-Day Pick-Me-Up π Ramen and Okonomiyaki
Rainy and coldβ¦ not the best time to go out, but I had to. π€ I headed to the mall to do some stuff, but as always, I ran out of fuel (or just an excuse to eat, haha π) So I looked for a Japanese restaurant. I really miss Japan, specifically their food! Ahhh~ I remember slurping that good ramen. Not too far from where I was standing, I saw Dohtonbori Okonomiyaki. I kept passing this restaurant but never tried it. I guess it was time to find out. π I was greeted by the staff and was seated right away. Not a lot of people since it was a weekday. I was handed the menu and was asked if I was comfortable with where I was seated. That was thoughtful of them, hehe. π I scanned right away to the ramen menu. I wanted a warm and easy soup for the weather. π§ I scanned right away to the ramen menu. I wanted a warm and easy soup for the weather. Just wanted a warm to the soul goodness. π But then I wanted to try their Okonomiyaki since it is in the restaurant itself. Hmm, I guess this is the restaurantβs best dish. So why not order it, right? π I was sipping on my iced tea bit by bit while waiting for the food. I should have ordered something hot, haha.π It was cold, and the ACs in the Philippines are blasting like crazy. (WHHYY!?!) But then I was happy that there were not a lot of people. I feel more relaxed while scrolling on my phone. The star of the day arrived happy noises π β¨ The first slurp was the best thing that happened that day. As if I were taken to the clouds of heaven. It was like a relief after much walking. I should have added a boiled egg. The noodles were springy in a bowl of rich broth. Each warm bite had a nice depth of flavors, and yeah, the meat was tender. β¨π I did not expect the okonomiyaki to be huge for one person.π― Beautiful presentation. π No wonder it took 20 minutes waiting, but it was worth it. π Thick and savory- that's how I like my okonomiyaki. π The cabbage was still crunchy for extra texture. I added some spice and soy sauce. Why was I using two chopsticks? π Alternatively, I take a bit from the okonomiyaki and a big slurp from the ramen. For a total bill under $20, it was a great meal. ππ Food Quality 4.5/5 ππππ That is it for this food blog. I will see you at the next one! πΎ NFT Showroom: nftshowroom.com/jijisaurart

I like how some of us excuses to eat delicious foods from outside haha. If I'm going outside then I'm gonna eat food for sure haha. I like that effort to go outside to be rewarded like that π.
What does the broth taste like? I don't know any place near me that sell this. Maybe it's because of the price haha. Comparatively speaking does this come close to the one that you ate in Japan? How much was the price difference compared to this?
The broth is savory π I dunno how to explain it haha but I like it when it has the green leeks.
Compared to the ramen (around 1000 Yen) I ate when I was in Japan, I can say that this ramen is decent for the price $6.
