Loving The ZING Train!

It was 21 beautiful days ago that I saw a text from my friend. The text said, “Stop whatever you’re doing and delegate to @zingtoken. I’ll explain everything later. Just trust me and do it.” This particular friend of mine isn’t prone to theatrics, and is pretty level-headed so I took his word for it and delegated on that fateful morning. And that’s when my Holozing journey began.

Since then, I’ve watched everything unfold. After making the delegation, I went to read everything about the Zing token and basically how it operates. I should have made this post a whole while ago. But I spent most of the time watching, and observing, as people jumped into the Holozing train. It was so fun, claiming Zing tokens daily and adding to my stake. In the beginning, I bought about 90 Zing or thereabout. That was after my delegation to the @zingtoken and @poshtoken accounts.

About 3.5 million HP has been delegated to Zingtoken and it’s amazing seeing the amount of support that has been shown by Hivers to the Holozing Project. With the level of transparency in this project, the account can earn daily curation rewards which would be used to aid costs and also speed up the development of the game. There has been a mention of a starter pack sale but the details have not yet been provided. There’s a lot that is going into heightening the expectations and excitement of everyone, so we’re all looking forward to it.

As of today, I have 1.5k staked ZING. I didn’t expect to move so fast but it’s something that I’ve derived so much joy in. Monitoring my rewards for when to claim has become a favourite pastime. I checked the contributor’s list but gave up soon enough as my number on the list may be more or less unseeded. It’s still fun either way.

As a lot of people keep delegating and even buying from the market, there seems to be this urgency as people keep FOMOing in. As expected, the APR for the four ways of earning ZING, which are Staking ZING, HP Delegation, Liquidity Pool, Posh balance(and delegating to Poshtoken by extension), has significantly reduced. It’s certainly smaller than when I first joined. Regardless, the APRs are still attractive in my opinion and carry practically little or no risk.

Currently, there are 11.55+ million ZING in circulating supply and 9.11+ million in total staked. It’s increasing every day and it shows that most people are taking advantage of the staking rewards to keep accumulating and building up their ZING while the game is yet to launch. Makes me wonder how it will be when the game is eventually launched.

An interesting aspect of the entire Holozing Project apart from its transparency which I’d mentioned earlier in this post is how everyone is actively carried along. Updates are regularly shared in the community. People are getting involved and even get to contribute and voice out their opinions and questions alike. Actions like these make us know that this is going to be more than a game but a community one by Hivers for Hivers.

I was about to end this post but then I realized that I hadn’t talked about the bonus rewards that began from the 1st of December. So it’s a way of rewarding those who daily and actively claim their ZING tokens daily. Because of my extremely busy schedule on Saturday, I missed out on claiming. But it’s a point of call to me that I don’t miss out on any other days so there will be no more missed days from now on. I’m not sure what exactly is going to accrue at the end of the month but you don’t want to miss out on whatever it is.
