Ya esta película Tailandesa va a cumplir casi un mes desde su estreno en la exitosa plataforma de streaming, pero solo hasta hace un par de días tuve la oportunidad de disfrutarla, en casa cuando las pequeñas toman el mando del televisor me queda solo seguir viendo comiquitas y cantar y bailar con ellas, así que cuando tengo la oportunidad de tener el control en mis manos aprovecho bien la ocasión.
Hunger, he leído unas cuantas reseñas de esta película acá en la comunidad me han llenado de intriga, lo cual agradezco, pues me incitaron a poder ver este film y comprobar si realmente podía superar mis expectativas, al inicio me pareció un tanto aburrida ver a esa gente como comían de manera tan estrambótica y sin modales para ser gente de alta sociedad, pero no le di mucha importancia a eso y seguí viendo.
El chef Paul me pareció un hombre tan frío y déspota que nada podía estar a su altura, me sorprendió su perfeccionismo para hacer las cosas, y lo duro que era hasta consigo mismo, luego entendí por qué fue así, ya que su niñez no fue nada fácil y debido a la experiencia vivida en la niñez fue lo que lo incito y catapulto más a seguir y ser uno de los mejores y más reconocido chef del momento.
El chef Paul hacia comida que reflejaban la vida de las personas, lo que comían era su propio estilo de vida, su manera de ser sin el comensal notarlo, pero el chef los ofendía con su comida o por lo menos esa fue mi impresión, en la escena sangrienta creo que los llamo a todos asesinos y sangrientos, por la temática que eligió, debo decir que ver toda esa salsa escurrirse por la boca de esos asiáticos me dio una sensación de asco, y bueno a mi esposa no le gusto esa escena jajaja ella tiene ciertos complejos con los sonidos que se emiten al comer y esta escena es demasiado ruidosa para su gusto y bueno el mío también.
This Thai film is almost a month since its premiere on the successful streaming platform, but only until a couple of days ago I had the opportunity to enjoy it, at home when the little ones take control of the TV I can only continue watching cartoons and singing and dancing with them, so when I have the opportunity to have control in my hands I take good advantage of the occasion.
Hunger, I have read a few reviews of this movie here in the community that have filled me with intrigue, which I appreciate, because they incited me to see this film and check if it could really exceed my expectations, at the beginning I found it a little boring to see those people eating in such an outlandish way and without manners to be high society people, but I did not give much importance to that and kept watching.
**Chef Paul seemed to me a man so cold and despot that nothing could be at his level, I was surprised by his perfectionism to do things, and how hard he was even with himself, then I understood why it was so, because his childhood was not easy and due to the experience lived in childhood was what incited and catapulted him more to follow and be one of the best and most recognized chefs of the moment.
Chef Paul made food that reflected people's lives, what they ate was their own lifestyle, their way of being without the diner noticing it, but the chef offended them with his food or at least that was my impression, in the bloody scene I think he called them all murderers and bloodthirsty, because of the theme he chose, I must say that seeing all that sauce dripping out of the mouths of those Asians gave me a feeling of disgust, and well my wife did not like that scene hahaha she has certain complexes with the sounds that are emitted when eating and this scene is too noisy for her taste and well mine too.
Por otro lado, Aoy recibe la oportunidad de su vida, ella se encargaba de mantener a flote el restaurante de fideos de su padre, un sueño que ella no quería vivir, pero que se abrió la oportunidad que ella sin querer estaba esperando, recibe una tarjeta para pertenecer al equipo de Hunger, donde solo entran los mejores de los mejores, por suerte ella estaba entre esos elegidos.
No fue fácil para ella enfrentar las duras exigencias del chef Paul, tanto que la llevo a tener varias quemaduras para conseguir el nivel necesario para el chef, esta es una de mis escenas favoritas porque me hacen ver que cuando nos interesa algo debemos luchar y perseguir ese sueño no importa que tan fuerte sea si somos disciplinados en hacerlo el resultado final será favorable para nosotros, así le sucedió a Aoy logro cocinar de manera perfecta estas rebanadas de carne de A5.
El hermano de Aoy me saco varias carcajadas con su forma tan natural de ser, de vivir su vida, además era ¿creador de contenido? Ok en serio, si me pude reír con este personaje, el chico lo interpreto muy bien, y su parte de ¡yo como para vivir!, me encanto.
La tímida Aoy luego de que ya le pierde el miedo al Chef Paul, decide ser mejor que él, preparando su propio menú para quitarle el trono al chef más cotizado del país, sin saber que este deseo podría costarle mucho más de lo que ella pensaba descuidando a las personas que siempre estuvieron allí para ayudarle incluso cuando nadie la conocía.
On the other hand, Aoy receives the opportunity of her life, she was in charge of keeping afloat her father's noodle restaurant, a dream that she did not want to live, but the opportunity that she was waiting for was opened, she receives a card to belong to the Hunger team, where only the best of the best enter, luckily she was among those chosen.
It was not easy for her to face the tough demands of Chef Paul, so much so that it led her to have several burns to get the necessary level for the chef, this is one of my favorite scenes because they make me see that when we are interested in something we must fight and pursue that dream no matter how strong it is if we are disciplined in doing so the end result will be favorable to us, so it happened to Aoy managed to cook perfectly these slices of A5 meat.
Aoy brother made me laugh with his natural way of being, living his life, plus he was content creator? Ok seriously, if I could laugh with this character, the guy played it very well, and his part of I eat to live!, I loved it.
The shy Aoy after losing her fear of Chef Paul, decides to be better than him, preparing her own menu to take the throne from the most sought after chef in the country, not knowing that this desire could cost her much more than she thought, neglecting the people who were always there to help her even when no one knew her.
Me llama la atención de esta película que en ese mundo de tanta perfección la joven Aoy llega a contagiarse de esa personalidad que emana del chef Paul que la hace prácticamente perder su propia identidad, lo que conlleva a que vuelva al estilo de su padre, con una receta cautivadora llena de emociones y sentimientos encontrados y sobre todo una receta llena de amor, que según el chef Paul dice que ese ingrediente no existe, pero así Aoy hace la famosa receta de los fideos llorones que la catapulta al éxito momentáneamente.
Si tiene sus momentos de tensión en los que aparece el chef Paul que literalmente siento como si una olla fuera a salir del televisor jajajaja este hombre me sorprendo lo impecable que hizo este personaje, y el momento en el que Aoy usa el cuchillo para cortar una hortaliza mientras el chef le añade presión que debe cortar más rápido y el efecto de la música acelerando mis latidos y justo sucede lo que mi mente ya imaginaba se cortó un dedo.
Esta es una película donde se ven los extremos de las clases sociales, gente adinerada que paga cantidades grandes para que este chef complazca sus gustos culinarios, por otro lado, vemos un chef que se mofa de todos sus platillos cuando los obreros son los que hacen el mayor trabajo, un chef que se intimida cuando uno de sus trabajadores está teniendo un poco más de éxito que él simplemente lo humilla y despide, y unos obreros que al terminar sus shows culinarios vuelven a su vida de clase baja, un chef que no le importa quién o qué llevarse por el medio con tal de mantener su estatus.
I am struck by this film that in this world of such perfection the young Aoy becomes infected by the personality that emanates from Chef Paul that makes her practically lose her own identity, which leads her to return to her father's style, with a captivating recipe full of emotions and mixed feelings and above all a recipe full of love, which according to Chef Paul says that this ingredient does not exist, but so Aoy makes the famous recipe of the weeping noodles that catapults her to success momentarily.
Yes it has its moments of tension where chef Paul appears that I literally feel like a pot is going to come out of the TV hahahaha this man I was surprised how flawless he made this character, and the moment when Aoy uses the knife to cut a vegetable while the chef adds pressure that he must cut faster and the effect of the music accelerating my heartbeat and just happens what my mind already imagined he cut a finger.
This is a film where we see the extremes of social classes, wealthy people who pay large amounts for this chef to please their culinary tastes, on the other hand, we see a chef who scoffs at all his dishes when the workers are the ones who do most of the work, a chef who gets intimidated when one of his workers is having a little more success than he is and simply humiliates and fires him, and workers who at the end of their culinary shows go back to their lower class lives, a chef who doesn't care who or what gets in the way as long as he maintains his status.
Creo que es un llamado a la conciencia del espectador como para derribar esos argumentos de clases que nos hacen creer menos o más que los demás. Las partes escénicas fueron bien producidas y considero que todos los personajes fueron bien ejecutados, si vale la pena invertir unos 129 minutos de su tiempo en esta película.
Aunque pensé que vería más comidas elegantes, y de apariencia más atractiva, no es una cosa del otro mundo, pero no me cautivo en nada el menú ni las presentaciones de los platos, de verdad jajaja suena fuerte, pero más me gustaron esos fideos llorones que preparo el padre de Aoy en el barrio.

I think it is a call to the viewer's conscience to tear down those class arguments that make us believe we are less or more than others. The scenic parts were well produced and I felt all the characters were well executed, if this film is worth investing some 129 minutes of your time in.
Although I thought I would see more fancy meals, and more attractive looking, it's not a big deal, but I was not captivated at all by the menu or the presentations of the dishes, really hahaha sounds strong, but more I liked those weepy noodles that Aoy's father prepared in the neighborhood.

Esta increible todo el post, buena forma de contar toda la película, me gusto mucho como abordas a cads perdonaje, entendí perfectamente la trama. La película me interesó mucho ya que habla muy claro del tema profesional en los espacios laborales, y la verdad es que es muy fuerte, siempre existe el choque de la sabiduría con el entusiasmo de la juventud, son dos energías que si se canalizan se logra el éxito. Gracias por éste post.
Si realmente cada personaje tienen virtudes muy definidas considero que los actores hicieron un buen trabajo.
