Primer noche de CAMPAMENTO || First night of CAMPING

Al fin llegó el día tan esperado para todos, iniciamos a la mitad del día, dejamos todas nuestras actividades y nos preparamos con nuestra familia para iniciar el primer campamento de instrucción de este año.

The long-awaited day finally arrived for everyone. We started in the middle of the day, left all our activities and prepared with our family to start the first training camp of this year.

Después de mediodía nos preparamos con todas las cosas, todo lo que necesitamos para sobrevivir dos días fuera de casa acampando con el club. Llegamos al lugar de campamento, iniciamos armando las tiendas y los pórticos contactada y delimitando el área de cada unidad, cómo este es un campamento de instrucción todas las actividades eran diferentes especialidades, tuvimos armado de tienda, armado de pórtico, y en uno de los casos armado de tienda rudimentaria, para que sea aprobado esta especialidad aquellos que armaron su tienda deberían pasar la noche allí.

After midday, we got ready with everything we needed to survive two days away from home camping with the club. We arrived at the campsite and began setting up the tents and porches, contacting and marking out the area for each unit. Since this was an instructional camp, all the activities included different specialties. We had tent pitching, porch pitching, and in one case, rudimentary tent pitching. To pass this specialty, those who pitched their tent would have to spend the night there.

Antes de qué el sol caiga nos hemos reunido para cantar juntos, leer una reflexión bíblica y recibir juntos el día sábado, aquí ya se generarían muchas más expectativas de lo que sería el inicio del campamento ya que es nuestra primer noche y aquí después de la meditación lo que sigue es preparar la cena (esto es también parte de la especialidad que debemos realizar). Para ello cada unidad con su líder y consejero deberían preparar su cena, en nuestro caso nuestra cena ha sido pizza, Hugo y uno de los miembros de nuestra unidad trabajo tarta de pollo catupirí (Todo hecho en casa ya).

Before the sun went down we gathered to sing together, read a biblical reflection and welcome the Sabbath together. Here we already had many more expectations than what the start of camp would be like since it was our first night and here after the meditation what followed was preparing dinner (this is also part of the specialty we must do). For this, each unit with its leader and counselor should prepare their dinner. In our case, our dinner was pizza. Hugo and one of the members of our unit made a catupirí chicken pie (all homemade).

Tras unidades encendieron fuego hicieron huevo frito, otros hicieron fideos con sus respectivas salsas, otros sandwich de diferentes sabores, en uno de los casos hicieron pizza a la sartén, algo raro pero delicioso. Después de todas estas actividades de cena inició uno de los juegos nocturnos que consistía en que cada unidad debería encontrar diferentes pistas esparcidas por el campo, y cada una de esas pistas estaba acompañada por un líder y dicho líder debería firmar la ficha de la unidad en el caso de cumplirse el reto que habían descubierto. Fue un juego muy entretenido, a mí me tocó ser una de las pistas y debía estar escondido en un lugar oscuro entre la vegetación. Al finalizar esta actividad nos hemos reunido para una reflexión final y a dormir. Aquí también es uno de los momentos más trabajoso para los líderes y consejeros ya que debemos calmar a los más pequeños que solamente quieren jugar y aparte que están emocionados por su primer campamento con el grupo de grandes.

After some units lit a fire, they made fried eggs, others made noodles with their respective sauces, others made sandwiches of different flavors, in one case they made pan-fried pizza, something strange but delicious. After all these dinner activities, one of the night games began. Each unit had to find different clues scattered around the camp. Each of these clues was accompanied by a leader, and that leader had to sign the unit's card if they completed the challenge they had discovered. It was a very entertaining game; I was assigned to be one of the clues and had to hide in a dark place among the vegetation. At the end of this activity, we gathered for a final reflection and went to sleep. This is also one of the most difficult times for the leaders and counselors, as we have to calm down the little ones who just want to play and are also excited about their first camp with the older group.

De esta manera culminamos con la primer noche, en mi caso en particular: al ingresar a la tienda para descansar después de inflar el colchón y preparar todo, me di cuenta que me había olvidado de traer una frazada y mi campera entonces imagínense que no tenía nada para cubrirme, a principio, .la temperatura era ideal pero después de unas horas, como a las tres de la mañana el frío se hizo mayor y ahí es donde solamente pude conseguir un piloto de lluvia y una toalla para poder envolverme y no pasar tanto frío, pero bueno: es parte de la actividad: "sobrevivir".

This is how we ended the first night, in my particular case: upon entering the tent to rest after inflating the mattress and preparing everything, I realized that I had forgotten to bring a blanket and my jacket, so imagine that I had nothing to cover myself with. At first, the temperature was ideal, but after a few hours, around three in the morning, the cold got worse and that's when I could only get a raincoat and a towel to wrap myself in and not be so cold, but hey: that's part of the activity: "survive."
