Splinterlands Engagement Challenge: Legends in the Making
Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about my Splinterlands Origin Story.
My Splinterlands Origin Story
How did you discover Splinterlands?
When I started my crypto journey (around the time lockdowns started), I downloaded and started using the Brave Browser. When I was using it, one of the ads that popped up was for Splinterlands, and that was how I ended up learning about Splinterlands. As I learned more about Splinterlands through Google, I also learned about Hive and how you could post content and earn crypto. It was another factor that pushed me towards learning more about Crypto, and the entire Hive journey was a learning experience. It takes time to learn about the blockchain and to get people to see your content.
What was your first card or most memorable early battle?
My first card was Failed Summoner because it was the card I got when I bought my Spellbook. I ended up using that card quite a bit, and I think it was a great card to use. It's too bad that it was part of the Untamed Set, and we can't use it in modern. Lately, I have only used it during my guild brawls. The magic reflect and the low mana cost made that card a great card to use whenever I was using Earth Splinters.
How has your strategy evolved since you started?
At first, my own goal was to earn crypto and make money. I ended up changing to playing the game for fun. It's nice to earn crypto, but I have learned about Hive and enjoy my time on Hive. I just play with what I have in Modern, and the game has changed quite a bit since I started. There were no Glint or Modern ranked battles when I first started. Nowadays, I just play with what I have as I focus more on Hive. I still play Splinterlands, and it has a special feeling for me because it was how I got to learn about Hive.
What are your goals in the game now?
My goal is to have fun, but it's nice to open the chests from league advancements and card/pack openings. So in a way, it's just to earn some SPS and to have fun with some battles. I have the cards, and its always nice to earn some SPS/Glint/Merit from doing my ranked battles or brawls.
Conclusion
It was nice to reflect on my Splinterlands Journey so far. It reminded me how I joined Splinterlands and Hive from using Brave. That was around the time that I started my crypto journey, and I have learned a lot about crypto along this journey. Splinterlands is unique, and I don't think I would stop playing because it was how I started my journey here on Hive.

Again the shows the importance to advertise splinterlands, people will not come in mass randomly without some advertisements
Yea. I think advertisement is needed, and appealing to people outside the ecosystem is the way to go.
With the way it is going, I am so sure you will rank high for this splinterland season

I used the failed summoner quite well when I started playing splinterlands, especially when it was an option to use free cards. It's a decent card, especially when you have a heal card behind it.
Yea. It was a great card to use. The low mana cost, high health, and ability made it a perfect card to use when using Earth Splinters.
You know a game is good if the main goal of a user was money and the gaming experience was able to change their minds to just playing for fun. Your story is pure gold man. I pay attention to the game because of friends like you that share the experience for me to enjoy reading about it. It's actually fun for me to read about it and also focus on Hive
Yea. I think Splinterlands is great as a game, and while it isn't my primary focus on Hive, I make time for it when I can.
You’ve really come a great way in your splinter land and hive journey. It’s simply a story of what we can do if only we are determined. Way to go more achievements and wins
