Splinterlands Engagement Challenge: Conclave Arcana Conflicts

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about Conclave Arcana Conflicts.

Conclave Arcana Conflicts

Stake your cards and packs to Battle Wagons over a 30-day period.
Earn points based on what you stake.
At the end, receive airdrop rewards based on your total points.
A brand new Conclave Arcana card(s) will be airdropped to participants!

The basic information for the Conclave Arcana Conflicts here. The mechanics are different from the previous conflicts during Rebellion, so it is a good idea to make sure that you are doing things correctly if you want those airdropped cards. The basic idea is to get battle wagons and stake cards/packs to get points. These points will decide what you get when the airdrop end.

Wagons

40,000 Wood
10,000 Stone
4,000 Iron
2,500 Aura

It is possible to use the wagons from Rebellion here, but it will be worth half the points. The new Conclave Arcana requires the above to craft. Each wagon can hold up to 5 cards, and up to 100 packs (Rebellion or Conclave Arcana). Remember that Rebellion cards are only worth half of what Conclave Arcana is for points. Conclave Arcana Alchemy and Legendary packs are worth 300 or 600 points respectively. The standard packs for Conclave Arcana is 100, and Rebellion is 50.

Repairs

Each time you receive an airdropped card, one of your wagons is damaged and must be repaired (same resource cost) before it can be used again.

One of the differences is that wagons are damaged every time you get an airdropped card. These wagons must be repaired before they can be used for the next conflict. If you earn 40 airdropped cards, then 40 wagons will be damaged. If you don't fix them, then these wagons will not generate points for the next conflict.

Reward System

Every 100,000 points earns you 1 entry toward the Conflict airdrop.
Each entry has a 0.125% chance to receive the Conflict card.
A guaranteed drop is awarded after 800 entries.
For every 25 cards received in one Conflict, you are guaranteed 1 Gold Foil version.
If you use alchemy potions to boost all of your chances it will be reduced to:
For every 13 cards received in one Conflict, you are guaranteed 1 Gold Foil version.

Above are the chances of receiving a card or a gold foil card. The chances for a gold foil or black foil can be increased if you use the poitons.

First Conflict

Here is a summary of the chances for the conflict. It is 100,000 points per entry, and you need 800 of them to guarantee an airdropped card. It also looks like each airdrop requires 50 potions each time, so people need to make sure to have enough stocked up.

Conclusion

It looks like the conflicts are shaping up, and I like how they included land into the factors for people. People with land can create the wagons and potions required for the conflicts, and I think its great to see them being used here. I have heard that quite a few people have made some profit for creating these items early, and I suggest you create them early as prices will drop over time. Another thing to note is that they will also add this card to packs after the conflict is over. So in a way, they are creating demand for packs as well because people can try their luck there for the gold/black foil arcane cards.

Are you planning to participate in the Conclave Arcana Conflicts?

I think you either have a good amount of black foils or it's not worth at all to partecipate in conflicts

I think it depends, but I do agree that without black foils, its going to be hard to get enough points.

Yea. I think land is getting more and more use. They are making sure that they are relevant for the future.

Well, if it's another utility for land then it's great. I feel like all splinterlands assets at some point, getting extra utility for their bullish for holders

Yea. I think that it's good to have more utility and that they aren't ignoring it.
