Splinterlands 43th Season of Glint, Merits and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I didn't get as many fights as I would like in Modern because I have been more focused on Frontier. I didn't do any fights in Modern until the last two days, and it was a struggle to reach Silver this time around. I did get there eventually after I used the win streak bonus points.

Season Rewards

I ended up with 5,036 Glint for last season, which is slightly more than what I was getting before. I had to do quite a few fights during the last two days to get that Silver league in Modern.

I did get two league advancement rewards in Modern. It was slightly better than last time because I did end up with a rare card this time.

I went for one epic this time. I felt that getting some epic cards (which are rarer from advancement chests) was the better choice. This is a new card for me, but I honestly don't know if I have many undead water magic monsters. So I am not sure how useful this card will be.

Gladius Packs

I got 5 packs this time around, and the opening seems slightly better than last time. There was one epic card. I think I did miss a brawl recently, so I am not sure why it was this many packs this time.

I was able to upgrade Hugo Strongsword to level 6. This gave the card one more armor. It's too bad that my summoners in Modern can't play this card, and I can't use it in Brawls due to my placement in gold foil frays. This is a fairly good card to use once it has the heal.

I was able to upgrade Kotriphus Bayne to level 6. This gave the card one more melee damage. I don't see myself using this card much because it can only be rarely used in Modern, and I am in gold foil brawls.

SPS

My SPS rewards were lowerthan last time. It looks like I earned less in all categories, and I kind of expected this because I did miss one of the brawls this season.

I plan on staking all of the SPS I got from staking for a total of 99.964 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.

Conclusion

This season had its good sides and bad sides. It's rough because I had trouble getting to Silver league in Modern. I did get one epic card from my league advancement chests, and I did get some good luck in my gladius case openings. It's too bad that I missed out on one Brawl, but I just have to be more careful next time.
