Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #235 and Take The Windward!

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I chose a track from a game that I played in the past that I like.

Take The Windward!

I chose Take The Windward! track because it reminded me of the Crossbell Arc while playing Cold Steel 2. It reminds me so much of Inevitable Struggle, and I didn't think I would listen to a track so similar to that in Cold Steel. It's too bad that this track only plays during a mini-game when you are in the home base of Ymir (Rean's hometown). The specific game is snowboarding, and I had fun playing it through for the rewards, but I really loved this track when you were playing it. Some of the later tracks were annoying, though, as they took me a few tries, but this track was nice to listen to. I wouldn't have minded if this track played during some battles instead of just a mini-game.

I think about Ymir when I think of this track. Ymir is the hometown of Rean (the protagonist) of Trials of Cold Steel, but you never visit it until the 2nd game. It is hinted that you visited Ymir with the rest of the class during some scenes, but you can never physically move there. It becomes the home base for Class VII during Cold Steel 2 while the civil war is raging on. The image comes from the wiki for Ymir.

Current Status

I didn't miss any millionaire missions, but things were hectic this week. I didn't do too many missions so I don't think I'll add up the starbits as I think I earned less than 100k this week. I did get the seasonal card from my pack openings though.

Current Ranking

My rank is up a few ranks from last week. I didn't play that much so I am not sure why unless there are some people who didn't do any missions over the past week and got removed.

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
