Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #154 and To A Glimmering Tomorrow

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. As usual, I am just doing some missions at night because I am busy during the day. I was able to do some missions during the day during the week but not as often as I would like. It's been quite busy as I start getting back to work. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway.

To A Glimmering Tomorrow

To A Glimmering Tomorrow is an OST that plays when you fight the final boss in the epilogue of Trials of Cold Steel II. This track represents the time that the old Class VII fought together before going their separate ways in life. Rean (the protagonist) is the only one in the original class VII who stays in school while everyone else moves on with their lives towards their dreams. It's the final send-off. I still think that Tie a Link of ARCUS is a better track to represent Class VII but I still remember this track fondly as the end of Cold Steel II.

The first image is the enemy you are fighting called Loa Luciferia. If you played Cold Steel I, then you know that this is a recolored version of the boss underneath the old schoolhouse and its significance towards Rean obtaining Valimor. The concept art for that boss in Cold Steel I is cooler and I like how it also shows the battlefield where you fight it in Cold Steel I (the battlefield filled with swords). To an extent, this battlefield is also mentioned in the later Cold Steel games as one of the reasons behind the great Rivalry. The image for the first image comes from the wiki page for Loa Luciferia and the second comes from the wiki page for Loa Erebonius.

To an extent, the OST for a glimmering tomorrow is also somewhat present in the first part of this track when Class VII departs and moves on with their life at the end of Cold Steel II. The later half of the track fits as you see what the members of class VII are doing after their departure and they move onwards towards their own dreams. Both tracks are good and I still prefer To A Glimmering Tomorrow overall as their departure but Season of Departure is also nice.

Do you like any of these tracks? If so, why?

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

  1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
  2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
  3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
  4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
  5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
  6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
  7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
  8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
  9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
  10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
  11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
