Brawl Report #68 - Losing most of my fights despite not having a level disadvantage

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. Rebellion has also changed the battles and I just keep losing my fights recently. It doesn't help much but I only got 1 win this time. Last time, I got more wins than losses but my luck wasn't there even though I got placed in the same tier brawl.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and got 1 win. Despite the image showing 2 wins, I only see 7 fights so one of the fights did not show up at all. I don't know why it shows 2. My rewards for the brawl were 4,571 merits and 70.392 SPS in the 4 star category. My guild ranked 5th place out of the 9 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. It's the first time in a few brawls that we ranked higher than last place or the place before last.

Brawl fights

There were 21fights that I won and 6 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match and my opponent just had 2 tank heal monsters. I couldn't kill my opponent and I lost after the fatigue kicked in.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much against my opponent. It wasn't a complete blowout but my opponent just had the stronger lineup due to the protect.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much due to the Mylor thorns and Quora.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and Yodin is tough to beat. That blast along with the ranged monsters is too strong compared to my limited lineup.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because the magic monsters were too powerful against my lineup.

You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match and I tried to outlast my opponent using Flesh Golem's heal. However, that last stand monster just dealt too much damage.

Conclusion

I think doing 7 fights for 4,571 merits and 70.392 SPS is a pretty good reward for the effort. I didn't do very well in my fights as I only won 1 fight. I wasn't expecting the Splinterlands screen to mess up and show 2 wins though. I didn't do so well but my guild did well enough to place us as 5th place. So it's a decent result.
