Brawl Report #66 - Losing all but 1 fight this time

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. Even if I did lose most of my fights just like usual.

Brawl fights

There were 1 fights that I won and 5 that I lost. So I included an idea of what the match was below along with a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match and I couldn't do much against my opponent. I was hoping for my Xenith Monk's heal ability to last long enough but all those magic monsters mage it impossible for me to live long enough.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match my opponent had a level advantage as well as a bunch of blast monsters. I couldn't outlast my opponent. That thorns monster also didn't help me out as I focused on using melee monsters.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match and that Coastal Sentry and the double strike was too much for me to overcome.

You can find the fourth match here. It was a close match but I won. My bloodlust monster did a great job of surviving long enough because I had slower monsters than my opponent. That allowed me to dodge a few attacks and give me the chance to win this match.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match and I just couldn't survive long enough. Maybe I should have moved my Xenith monk further back but I wasn't expect for so much damage from his monsters and the thorns.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match it and my opponent had a level advantage. It was a bit too much for me to overcome and he was able to offset the demoralize that I had used with his inspire.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern brawl and I got 1 win and 5 losses. I didn't do so well but I didn't get completely wiped. So that is at least a relief. My rewards for the brawl were 2,714 merits and 45.936 SPS in the 4 star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked either last or next to last place. However, I still think the rewards weren't that bad.

Conclusion

My performance was bad again this time around and I almost lost all of my fights. I think brawls are a great way of earning SPS and merits for the number of battles you participate in even in the 4 star category. It was a tough brawl and I am just glad that I didn't get wiped out in every single match. Let's hope that my next brawl is better.
