Brawl Report #173 A horrible brawl for me and my guild

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles under the right ruleset or summoner. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it wasn't so great this time around.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 2 wins. This time, there was 1 free win from guilds that didn't submit people. My rewards for the brawl were 2,762 merits and 45.357 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 9th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all its spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I didn't do so great this time, but my guild didn't do so great either.

There were 5 that I lost So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had the level advantage, and most of his monsters were faster than mine, so my monsters went down faster than his.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent's bloodlust monster just stacked way too much bloodlust, and there wasn't much I could do after that happened.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I couldn't do too much against my opponent because of the level advantage. Also, the taunt and repair monsters reduced most of the damage that I could do.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had the level advantage, and that bloodlust monster just wiped out my monsters.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had a level advantage, and I couldn't do much against the high speed that my opponent had and all the heals.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had a level, speed and damage advantage over me. My opponent just wiped out my monsters and there wasn't much I could do.

You can find the eighth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent had a level advantage, and I lost because of that repair monster. It kept his monsters alive long enough that I lost.

Conclusion

Doing 8 fights for 2,762 merits and 45.357 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I did worse this time around, and my guild did just as bad. We did have inactive people in the brawl spots, but too many guilds submitted their matches. Brawls are tough, and there wasn't too much I could do against my opponent when most of them had a level advantage. I lost most of my fights, but I am glad that I did get at least one real win.
