Brawl Report #156: Free wins made this a decent brawl

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was decent this time around. It was fairly good overall this time as its the best result in the past few weeks.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 4 wins. This time, there were 1 free wins because 1 guild did not submit someone. My rewards for the brawl were 3,476 merits and 60.29 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 6th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. Both me and my guild did better this time around.

Brawl fights

There were 3 that I lost, 1 that won, 1 that I surrendered, and 2 that I won due to surrender. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it. My internet was having issues, and it went out for a few minutes when I started a match. So that fight ended up being a loss by default.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. All those magic monsters plus the magic summoner just wrecked me. There wasn't much I could do.

You can find the second match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. Katrelba was quite amazing, but I think I won because I had a strong tank. It gave my monsters enough time to survive and kill off those tanky monsters.

I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The repair monster just negated most of my damage, and my opponent had a level advantage.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent just had the tankier monsters and the divine shield make it hard to kill off his monsters.

Conclusion

Doing 6 fights for 3,476 merits and 60.29 SPS is a good reward for the effort. Both me and my guild did better this time around. It's nice to see my guild do decently this time around. I am hoping that they stay active, and we are able to rank like this next round too.
