Brawl Report #153: Getting destroyed in brawls lately

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was decent this time around. It was a horrible brawl for both my guild and me.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 2 wins. This time, there were no free wins because no guilds did not submit someone. My rewards for the brawl were 1,286 merits and 20.407 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 9th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. Both me and my guild didn't do so great this time around.

Brawl fights

There were 6 that I lost, 1 that won, and 1 that I won due to surrender. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. That lineup was too much for me when they are using a legendary summoner and they also have a level advantage.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The taunt monster in the back was a killer as I couldn't focus down the monsters as I would like. My opponent also had a speed and level advantage.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent's level advantage was too much for me, and even though we were both using Katrelba, I couldn't kill off my opponent fast enough because I missed attacks.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There is not much to say when my opponent has both Quora and Kron.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My opponent made a good choice with his summoner and the magic damage. I wasn't expecting it, and it was too much to overcome.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. My damage was just too spread out, and that lookout ability decreased my damage on the last monster.

You can find the seventh match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. I had more damage thatn my opponent and once that bloodlust stacked, my opponent couldn't do much.

Conclusion

Doing 7 fights for 1,286 merits and 20.407 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I didn't do so great this time around, and my guild ended up in last place. I noticed that brawls are much harder now that Conclave Arcana has moved into the modern frays.
