Brawl Report #150: My best brawl result in a while

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches, and it was decent this time around. I did a great job in brawls this time around, and my guild didn't do as bad as last time.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 7 wins. This time, there were 2 free wins because two guilds did not submit someone. My rewards for the brawl were 3,476 merits and 47.362 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 8th place out of the 10 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots, and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I did amazing this time around, and I feel better that my guild didn't place last like last time.

Brawl fights

There were 2 that I lost and 5 that I won. So, I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.

You can find the first match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. My magic monsters were the winners in this match. Giant Killing and Recharge worked out well to take out those tanks up front.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. Both of us tried to take advantage of demoralize, but my opponent just had the advantage due to the thorns ability in the back.

You can find the third match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. My giant killing magic monster did a great job again this match. It took out those high mana monsters up front.

You can find the fourth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. With shield in the back, and heal up front, I was able to take zero damage from my opponent. There was nothign my opponent could do after I had a demoralize monster.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The level, speed, and attack advantage was too much to overcome.

You can find the sixth match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. I just had the stronger tank and there wasn't much my opponent could do when they couldn't deal much damage to me.

You can find the seventh match here. I won this match because I had the stronger lineup. I am glad that my bloodlust monster did a great job. It was a close match due to the level disadvantage, but it worked out despite my opponent taking out my backline.

Conclusion

Doing 7 fights for 3,476 merits and 47.362 SPS is a good reward for the effort. I did great this time around, and my guild did better than last time. I was a bit depressed last time as my guild placed last, but this time we got more wins and got better rewards.
