Brawl Report #143 - Relying on free wins
Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. I did visit the page but it was late on Mothers Day and I forgot to take the screenshots.
Brawl fights
I won 2 fights due to a surrender and lost the other 3. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but it wasn't the best brawl. As I said before, I did see the result page for my own stats, but I don't remember where my guild placed. There were also 3 extra free wins from guilds who did put someone for a brawl fight, so it ended up being 5 wins and 3 losses for me this round. All my wins were from guilds where people did not show up.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. There wasn't much I could do against that Quora once it starts to stack up that bloodlust. I also missed a few attacks otherwise, I might have been able to kill off that Quora before it got so strong.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. The taunt monster soaked up all the hits, and there wasn't much I could do once Katrelba Gobson started stacking up the bloodlust. I ended up losing without being able to do much at all.
You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had a stronger lineup. I couldn't do much when the magic monsters wiped out my backline. I was hoping my Drybone would wipe out the tank faster, but it didn't happen. My summoner didn't help me much with all those magic monsters on my opponent's end.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl, and I got 5 wins and 3 losses. I didn't do so great this time around, but I think my guild placed around 6th or 7th place this time around. The rewards do add up over time, and I had to rely on those free wins to have a decent brawl.
Conclusion
The brawl was decent, and the rewards do add up. It's more or less inline with what I got from my previous brawls as my guild is constantly in that 6th to 8th place range lately. I am glad that I got 5 wins from free wins, but I am sad to see that I didn't win a single actual fight. I was at a level disadvantage so it was an uphill battle.

You having a lot of free wins? I see in brawls less and less players at my level
It depends because it became active a month ago, but now its back to the previous levels of 2-3 free wins a match.

I see that a lot of the opponent deployed the mycelic with the forcefield ability. They had the better summoner, and sometimes there's nothing you can do with you face w bigger or higher deck.
Yea. It's a rough enemy to fight against. I will just do what I can.
I see that current brawl is still on old sets, let's see how hard it would be with ca, i just started making my gf deck from commons maybe i will finish them until next brawl!
