A Memorable Morning Stroll in Boracay our Day 2

Our second day in Boracay began with the calming sound of waves and the promise of another wonderful day. After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the resort, Zadie and I decided to embrace a quintessential Boracay tradition – getting our hair braided. It was my first time trying it, and I was thrilled to share the experience with my daughter.

The hairstylists we found along the beach were friendly and skilled, working quickly to create beautiful braided hairstyles. Zadie’s excitement was contagious as she chose the color of the hair ties and beads. When our braids were complete, we couldn’t stop admiring our twinning hairstyles in the mirror. It felt special to create this memory together, and I loved seeing Zadie’s smile light up as she touched her braids with delight.

With our new matching hairstyles, we set off on a leisurely stroll along the beach. The soft white sand beneath our feet and the gentle sea breeze made the morning feel magical. Zadie collected seashells and dig some sands with her friends. She also dipped her toes in the crystal-clear water, while I took in the breathtaking views of Boracay’s turquoise sea. It was one of those moments that reminded me to savor the little things in life, especially the time I get to spend with Zadie.


As the sun climbed higher in the sky, we decided to head back to the hotel to freshen up. We had an exciting plan for lunch at The Sunnyside Cafe, but I’ll save that story for another blog. For now, I’ll hold on to the joy of our morning adventure, from our matching braids to the simple beauty of walking hand in hand with my daughter along one of the most stunning beaches in the world.
