My most embarrassing moment
My most embarrassing moment happened when I was in secondary school. It was just a normal regular day, just like any other, until my mum showed up at school unexpectedly. I could feel my heart racing as soon as I saw her standing there, frowning her face, talking to the principal.

I had no idea why she was there until the principal called me to his office. As I walked in, I could see the disappointment in my mum's eyes. She told the principal that she had found out money was missing from her bag at home, and she suspected it was me who took it, at first I denied but with beatings from some of my teachers as well as the principal, I had to confess.
My heart sank. I knew exactly what she was talking about. A few days earlier, I had taken some money from her bag without asking. I didn't think she would notice, but I was wrong.
I was very embarrassed and ashamed. Your heart felt heavy, and I couldn't look at my mum and my teachers, my eyes were facing the floor. I wished I could turn back time and make a different choice.
The principal looked at me with a mix of disbelief and disappointment. I felt like I wanted to disappear right then and there. I could not believe I had been caught stealing from my own mother and reported in school where my friends and class mates are.
My mum insisted that I apologize to her and promise never to do it again, after I was punished (I was told to ride Okada) it's a common punishment back when I was in secondary school . I felt so ashamed as I mumbled out an apology, tears welling up in my eyes. I could see the disappointment on her face, and it broke my heart.
After that day, I could not look anyone in the eye. I felt like everyone knew what had happened, even though they probably didn't. I couldn't shake off the feeling of embarrassment and shame that followed me everywhere I went.
It took a long time for me to even forgive myself for what I had done. I knew I had let my mum down, and I couldn't bear the thought of disappointing her again. I promised myself that I would never do anything like that again, and I made sure to always ask for permission before taking anything that does not belong to me.
Looking back on that day now, I cannot help but think how foolish I was. I learned a valuable lesson about honesty and respect that day, and it's something that has stuck with me ever since.
Even though it was a painful experience, as they always say that we learn from experiences. I'm grateful for the lesson it taught me. It's was a moment I wished the ground would open and swallow me, but I know that it's a part of who I am and has helped shape me into the person I am today.
Thank you 🙏🏻
I really liked your story and the lesson. As they say, the best lessons in life are the hardest to learn!😊

Of course they are the hardest 😂. One we never forget. Thanks for stopping by 🙏🏻
