La vida es un soplo, por ello debemos aprovecharla al máximo, y una de las cosas que vale la pena comprendamos cuanto antes es que todos estamos llamados a dejar un legado, incluso si no estamos conscientes de esto, si o si algo dejamos, por ello, mientras más conscientes somos de las semillas que sembramos mejor será porque podremos darnos una perspectiva de los frutos que el día de mañana se podrán cosechar, incluso cuando nosotros ya no estemos en este plano de existencia terrenal.

Estando ayer en la playa pensaba justamente en esto, ya que sí notamos las huellas dejadas en la orilla del mar se borran al pasar unas olas sobre ellas, para mí esto es el símbolo de la vida, pues, cada paso que damos en ella es una huella que dejamos, según sea el impacto de la misma se borrará o al contrario tendrá la fuerza interna de perseverar en el tiempo. De aquí que me preguntaba, ¿qué huellas estamos dejando en los demás?, más aún, ¿qué huellas queremos dejar en el mundo? Otra manera de que me gusta plantear esta misión de vida que considero todos tenemos es, ¿cómo quieres ser recordado?

Cuando alguien muere, de hecho, lo único que deja es el impacto causado por sus acciones (o no acciones) en el mundo, pues, (y esto lo quiero abordar en otro post) somos seres de acción, lo que hace la vida realmente maravillosa es ese conjunto de capacidades que tenemos para realizar cosas, incluso las más inimaginables posibles y que dichas acciones sean propulsoras de un cambio en la sociedad, al final, este es el sentido de la vida, sentirnos partícipes del desarrollo del mundo y de las comunidades, y que podemos aportar para que las cosas sean un poco mejor cada día.

Lo interesante de esto es que en todas las áreas de la vida, cada uno según sus capacidades puede dejar un legado, en el arte, las letras, la conducción de comunidades, el desarrollo personal, la política, tecnología, economía, religión, etc. Cada uno desde su trinchera debe sentirse comprometido y con el derecho-deber de no ser mezquino sino más bien totalmente generosos para dar lo mejor que podamos a esas realidades que pueden parecer tan dispares entre sí, pero al final están intrínsecamente unidas en el crecimiento y evolución del ser humano y el sentido de su estar en este mundo y vivir en relación con otros seres como él.

En cierta forma, podemos verlo como una retribución a la vida misma, que nos ha permitido participar del milagro y maravilla del existir, pues correspondemos a este don dando un poco de lo que ella misma nos ha dado, teniendo la convicción que todo este movimiento es sinérgico, ya que lo que puedo ofrecer yo puedo muy bien complementar lo que ofrecen los demás, así como al contrario, lo que los demás han ofrecido (su legado) es aliciente y alimento para el que nosotros podemos dar. Esto me deja una pregunta reflexiva final, ¿si los demás lo han hecho, esto es, dejado un legado hermoso para su posteridad, por qué no puedo hacerlo yo?

Life is a breath, so we must make the most of it, and one of the things that is worth understanding as soon as possible is that we are all called to leave a legacy, even if we are not aware of this, if or if we leave something, therefore, the more aware we are of the seeds we sow the better it will be because we can give us a perspective of the fruits that tomorrow can be harvested, even when we are no longer on this plane of earthly existence.

While I was on the beach yesterday I was thinking about this, since we do notice the footprints left on the seashore are erased when waves pass over them, for me this is the symbol of life, because every step we take in it is a footprint that we leave, depending on the impact of the same will be erased or on the contrary will have the inner strength to persevere over time. This is why I ask myself, what footprints are we leaving in others, and even more, what footprints do we want to leave in the world? Another way I like to approach this life mission that I believe we all have is, how do you want to be remembered?

When someone dies, in fact, the only thing they leave is the impact caused by their actions (or non-actions) in the world, because, (and this I want to address in another post) we are beings of action, what makes life really wonderful is that set of capabilities we have to do things, even the most unimaginable possible and that these actions are drivers of a change in society, in the end, this is the meaning of life, to feel part of the development of the world and communities, and that we can contribute to make things a little better every day.

The interesting thing about this is that in all areas of life, each one according to their abilities can leave a legacy, in art, literature, community leadership, personal development, politics, technology, economics, religion, etc.. Each one from his or her trench should feel committed and with the right-duty of not being mean but rather totally generous to give the best we can to these realities that may seem so disparate from each other, but in the end are intrinsically united in the growth and evolution of the human being and the meaning of being in this world and living in relationship with other beings like him.

In a way, we can see it as a retribution to life itself, which has allowed us to participate in the miracle and wonder of existence, because we correspond to this gift by giving a little of what it has given us, having the conviction that this whole movement is synergistic, since what I can offer can very well complement what others offer, and conversely, what others have offered (their legacy) is encouragement and nourishment for what we can give. This leaves me with a final reflective question, if others have done it, that is, left a beautiful legacy for their posterity, why can't I do it?
